Who is Naismith replacing as he is named as an emergency?

Article was speculating whether one or two big guys come in, at this stage only Kozzie was picked. I don't think we should be assuming there is a late out and he is going to be replaced, as the article was written before Sunday teams were announced.

Expect it depends how Richmond go this week and maybe Naismith is a chance next week, meaning on the bubble Round 7.

So a tackle is worth 4 points... subject to CD awarding whatever points they feel like at the time. 15 tackles should equal 60 points but they awarded him 42. I get scaling and so forth, but there were many times when I saw him tackle and only receive 2 points. You have wonder why they give us a scoring system in the first place sometimes.

I'm not sure where the assumption that a tackle is worth 4SC points is from. (SC site or Jaiden etc)

I thought it was well known that a tackle that ends in disputed possession (ball-up etc) is worth less than a tackle that results in a turnover (holding the ball free, or ball spills directly to the team that laid the tackle)

Nearly all of Powell's tackles I saw just ended in ball-ups, so definitely worth a lot less than a tackle that ends in a turnover.

Yep it makes sense, and I don't have a problem with the scoring system for the most part, but don't give us a precise number on their own site, and then adjudicate to a different number. Either give it a range, or adjust the number lower. You create uncertainty, and dishonesty otherwise. If we go into a shop and take something to the register and they tell you you have to pay more than what it says on the tag, we wouldn't go back to that store. Just creates frustration for all players. Like I said for the most part it is a good system but they unfortunately give us actual values of what things are worth, and then award different ones on game day.

Took it from the SC site. I actually think he was prob scored correctly for the day in reality. Hence why I don't really have a prob with the system for the most part. Just little things I think they can improve on.

On the assumption you have never read this, take a look. First person that I know who has analysed the scoring process. Seriously smart dude and has done strategy podcasts with JD as well.

No not seen this before. Obviously knew there were many intricacies to the scoring, and this certainly shows that. Really good insight. Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately doesn't speak on what constitutes pressure/contested situation in the eyes of CD, as I think that is a huge ambiguity I find when watching games as closely as we do. Maybe I should try and be a little less invested in SC haha :p

North Melb.
Haven’t been this undecided for a captain in a long time. Adams back has rattled me a bit witb Heeney.

Think Grundy has a much higher floor against Williams. Might go there. Serong also a safe choice? Only got 30 mins to decide hmmm
