Played: M Gawn, H Sheezel, C McKercher and Z Butters (VC)
Yet to play:
Saturday: I Heeney, J Jordon, M Roberts, B Grundy, H Reid, H Young, N Fyfe, Z Williams, T Stewart, M Bontempelli, O Dempsey and S Darcy
Sunday: T Miller, T Green, J Steele, T Brown, N Daicos and M D’Ambrosio

Solid start so far. Banked the 119 for the time being with Green, Steele or Heeney the choices if I think they can push 135-140 minimum to make it worthwhile. Third boost used to bring in Stewart, Brown and Darcy. Brown inclusion means the E will not need to be accessed from Howes but results in Sanders being benched. Selecting J Sharp/H Thomas/etc results in Daicos moving back, Sanders moving onfield and the def bench of Howes and Coffield to be fixed in the coming rounds via GC rookies or dual position announcements.

Looking forward to new recruit T Stewart in action tomorrow and hopefully H Young continuing to repay the faith.

Updated Sexton replacement from T Brown to H Thomas to move Sanders onfield as was not confident in Brown or Draper. Considered Sharp as well and congrats to those that started him or traded in. Heeney unlucky again to miss out on captaincy duties and have decided not to bank Butters and take the gamble on Steele hopefully scoring close to 140+.

I don't know why we just didn't trade Macrae while he had currency. Clearly Bevo didn't rate his worth as an inside mid last season, and won't again this season. It's the only position he can be relevant. Just wasting the rest of the blokes career

As much as I want Sharp's E score... I just don't reckon it's worth the trade or a boost just to get 50 odd points.

Still 20 more rounds left to get that 50 points you might lose this week.
It's certainly worth the boost (I maintain boosts aren't valuable, really no harm using one early in the season, could well end up with spare boosts by the end of the year)

The trade though... May well not be worth it (y)

I think it's a trade you could look back on at the pointy end of the season when you really need that extra trade and say to yourself, "wish I didn't do that"
Agree, look at the big picture/ play the long game

Whilst Sharp’s score on the bench is frustrating, can’t justify blowing a boost to get it myself

Crikey! Sharp was a bad miss

I skipped on Johnson last season aswell
Yeah I missed him too, had a choice of him or Carroll a few weeks back and took Carrol, who has hardly been bad.

Would have loved to have picked Sharp instead of Clark to start but oh well.

On a side note, I was 10th in the SEN Tipping before the Fre vs Car game...

but, chose Fre, so dropped to 40th. Still a long way to go, but pretty happy to be that high in Tipping :)
Well done. I got up to 10th in ESPN footy tipping a few years back which had over 600,000 entrants. That didn't last though (I think it was part way through Rd 1 ).

@Professor is currently equal top spot in Footyinfo tipping, just behind top on margin.

Sheezel 124 :):alien:
Houston 106
Powell 73
McKercher 54 :(

Sheezel is ridiculously good for how poor his team is. A 120 average is well on the cards. Houston with yet another low ton. 4 scores between 105 and 114 now. Consistency is not something Houston usually specialises in! Took 5 kick ins tonight by my count (from a possible 6) so that was a good sign. Historically doesn’t tend to have too many kick ins. Only took 3 in the first 3 rounds. Powell had a very strange game with 14 touches and 15 tackles. Just looked like he didn’t care for most of the game, don’t think I saw him genuinely sprint in the first half. Played a good negating role on Neale in the second half and seemed more passionate and got involved in the offensive side too. Still think he’ll go around that 95 mark. Tough game for McKercher. Usually plays very wide on his flank and the boundaries were extremely tight. Played much more midfield today.

Heeney 165
Yeo 130 :D
Ryan 111
Serong 94 :(
Grundy 93 :(
Jackson 91 :(
Williams 81 :)
Roberts 80 :)
Jordon 57

Libba and Sanders tonight.

Heeney bonkers again! Didn’t really feel like a 165 game but he did his best work in the key moments so that would’ve played a part. Yeo’s an absolute beast. Similar game to last week but he was rewarded SC wise this time around as his teammates were competent. Ryan was looking like posting a huge score but he only managed the 6 points from halfway through the third. Thought this was a good matchup for him so wanted more. Serong didn’t seem to get into the game. Was always expecting a down score against Carlton though. Grundy had moments but against Williams he needs to do better. Definitely getting close to being traded.

Jackson was also poor in what I thought was a good matchup. Not quite expensive enough to trade I think and no one really stands out as a big value premium option to me. Williams goes very hot and cold in games but an 81 is a good result. Roberts had a big last quarter to boost his score. Jordon was poor against WC today and is very likely to be traded this week alongside Billings.

13/1395 (Gawn)

Scaling absolutely brutal for Clark going from 97 to 84! Jackson also scaled down 5 points. Don’t own Sharp either. Reid’s score stuck on the bench.

Horrible day so far!
I feel ya, reckon English would need to score 400 for me this week as C if I'm a chance to win any of my leagues.

13/1420 Heeney C

Played: Howes, Sheezel, McKercher, Butters, Houston (VC), Heeney, Grundy, Roberts, Reid, Ryan, Serong, Jackson, Williams
Yet to Play: Bont, Sanders, Darcy, Dempsey, Green, Flanders, Steele, Wilson, Daicos

Haven't sifted through everyone's scores here to determine if on par or not, but I think I'll finish on par in the end. Jackson/Grundy a very underwhelming ruck line and I know I'll pay for that!

Boosts are valuable?

7 of a possible 7 boosts used so far across NRL and AFL this season. Hopefully can finish the rest off in the quickest possible time. May beat/tie my previous records in NBA/NBL. :ROFLMAO:

He's way too good to be a sub, is he fully fit yet...could that be why he's sub?

Is Clark > Mannagh to get Sharp's score dumb? No other options really.
Yes.

Boosts are insanely valuable, you can't waste them on frivolities like that.

I think last year I was left with one "boost" left unused ....

- was way too conservative ... no chance of that happening this year ...
