Don’t envisage anything crazy from me this round.

Jordon > Lohman (Don’t really want to go early on anyone)
Grundy > English

Grundy’s been serviceable but appears to be scoring 20ish points a week less than English so it seems like the smart play to me.

I would like to do Grundy to English but can't justify paying $700k for English. It's definitely not the 2023 version of English with more job sharing. Should get the same output from a mid who could be $100k cheaper.
I can sit Jackson at R2 if I think I can get more value out of Grundy's money.
I do think English is needed but just doesn't make sense at the moment.
I spent all of last season waiting to bring in English and it never eventuated while he churned out awesome scores week after week. I’ll be getting on while I can this season.

Grundy to Comben (via Jackson) could be an option.

The way he played yesterday we would think his JS was excellent, with good scoring potential. 129

Outside the square thinking, is it time to cash in Jackson to Comben then have around 400k to fix my backline.

English will likely drop more in price again after Essendon game, whilst Jackson should go up a bit more vs Port Adelaide... why don't you guys wait a week and move Luke Jackson from forward to ruck this week if you have the NORTH FWD/RUCK guy Maley... and pair Jackson with whoever else is your second ruck..

then grab English at a discount after the Essendon game for Grundy.?? or is it more the fact you guys won't to bank the English solid score vs Essendon?

At this stage no trades for me…
let the likes of Sharp, Mckercher, Sanders, Roberts, Carrol, Darcy, Khamis, Dempsey and Cadman continue to grow 💰 cash….
Howe and Clark the only two rookies on watch out…Howe with a breakeven of 55 a slight concern…
Only two premiums missing this week will be Daicos and Heeney…

Are we def sure Combden has job security if he has a poor one vs Geelong?? like it's obvious he is the future but Scott may still rotate him and Pink.... it's easy for us to see he should play every week but some coaches don't think the same sometimes haha

I don't think Jackson's price has moved enough or will drop enough in future to make it worthwhile. Should still be a forward keeper given the lack of options.

Grundy is a shadow of himself around the ground now days, probably trade him this week. Maybe Naismith depending on today and move Bramble to another premium Defender like Stewart, Ryan or Houston.

Happy I've got most of tha cash cows, hard bit is now that none are really ready to go, even decided to keep Fyfe and he's now thrown a spanner in the works scoring well yesterday.

Might even take a leaff out of @Maccas marvels book and hold fire.

Weighing up Grundy to Marshall vs just parking Jackson at R2 over the best 18 weeks and getting in a premium on a different line. I know I’ll want either Marshall or English paired with Gawn but the timing is the tricky part.

Jordon to one of Lohmann/Comben looks good. Grundy to Marshall might be tempting as well for ~100k. Does feel luxurious though, would rather focus on building cash to get the rookie off-field at D6.

Toying with the idea of trading Heeney, but will need to think it over. The risks associated are obvious.

Only plays in 6 of the next 8 rounds, and possibly plays more forward time with Adams/Parker coming back (no guarantee though). Would prefer his BE to be a bit higher though.

Would look to bring him back post his R12 bye, if all goes well.

I did a double down this week, Jordon to Dempsey and Billings to Darcy.

So have $320k, things were looking OK, until Bramble coughed up a 30 last night. I had already made a conscious decision to take Howes 46, rather than trade Coffield to Draper to avoid the 46, so looks like I'll take a hit this week.

I guess the good news is rookies like Sharp, Darcy, Reid had spike games and Roberts posted a good score to keep growing in price.

Will be bring in Martin this week before he gets out of reach, Bramble may turn put to be the out, had high hopes, but not sure he can coexist and still score well with all of Daniel, Dale and Richards, so might have to cut him loose.

Not sure what else will happen at this stage, but atleast the cash gives me a few options.

Jackson still has WCE to play when Shrek is back, although that was my reason for trading Fyfe over Jordon ...

Interesting

Heeney - > Horne-Francis

then probably gets enough cash to do the Howes - > May trade in Round 7 (wait to check projections on Footywire)

Would leave Daicos , Houston , May , Sheezel + D'Ambrosio & Williams / Brown , Reid

Upgrade D'Ambrosio & Williams to premium D or mids via McKercher/Roberts (once they peak they will need to be upgraded)

Ryan unrealistic to get (for my team situation)

Sicily (form) , Stewart dropping still would need bench downgrade cash.

Sinclair wait until firm picks up and favourable fixtures

Leaves JHF , unlikely to be Top 10 mid so would still need to be upgrading.

So does JHF + May score significantly more than Heeney + Howes to make it worth it ? 🤔

I'm thinking of the same play with Jackson.
