Thanks - it sounds like we are thinking along similar lines.

One other nuance with Baker is that I can actually decide after seeing all other scores this round, given he plays last and my other involved players are Swans (bye) and Eagles (Baker’s opponent).

I'm looking at Baker as well. With Closey, Graham and a couple of others looking like they are locks - possibly Combden - I would be doing one trade this week from Jordan to Baker, using the 100k or so I have in the bank.

Clark, Carroll and or Z. Reid et al. can go next week, for the bubble rookies to possibly use a boost for a premo. Held Massimo, so he can hang around for a few more weeks I think.

Other than that I just don't trade this week, buy keeping an eye on my H2Hs as well.

Thanks - I think I’ve actually landed on Shai instead. He has basically all the same positives and avoids a couple of the negatives. He is a bit dearer, of course, and I’d likely be comfortable getting Baker at his price if I didn’t have more to spend.

Shai burned me in the past. Probably why I haven't considered him. But it is a different set up at the Tigers now, of course.'

I think I'm suffering a bit from not being able to watch much footy this year. Haven't been able to do the eye test - hence old school rule of not going early on rookies. Combden surely requires this caution, though.

Taking a flyer on Bowes, was managed along with Atkins who were both coming back from injuries, played a full game last week and looked ok. I would think that O'Connor would be the likely one to be subbed out, well I'm hoping so.

So, used a fair amount if my bank, gone early on a rookie, sideways traded a premium, brought in a speculative midpricer and used a boost to do it.

Not sure I could have broken any more trading rules 😬

Only week one, but that all went reasonably well. Was expecting carnage.
