2 main paths I can go down this week. I can upgrade Grundy to marshall/english, or I can downgrade Grundy to meek, and upgrade howes to a mid 500k Def premo.
Meek to english/Marshall as a future upgrade.
Thoughts?

I’m not sure the sub $500k defender rookies will be that good after this round so I would take the genuine premium option in Marshall or English.

Jordon, Lyons and Coffield in the firing line. I wonder if I can hold onto that fourth boost? Comben/Lohmann the targets up forward and would prefer to make any def bench trades in RD6/RD7.

Fourth boost for
Out: B Howes, J Jordon and J Lyons
In: S Clohesy, S Flanders and K Lohmann

Fix the failed Thomas for Comben via Wilson in RD6 and maybe save a boost to avoid a repeat of the Berry and Thomas failures. Very happy with all premiums so far.

Going early on Flanders proved to be a great move with me able to grab Martin this week with $300 itb.

Berry and Bonner went up just enough if I go through with the original plan. I'd like to have Meek though so Berry's BE and selection will dictate.

Berry > Graham
Bonner > Martin

surely if you were to go early on a rookie it would be clohesly?

I'm currently leaning howes/Grundy > young/Meek. Could boost to get rid of a clark/hore/lazzaro for a better defender than young.
Or I have the cash for a straight grundy> Marshall or a howes/Grundy > clohesy/english.
1 trade grundy > marshall is also tempting.
Next round I have 4 defenders (howes hore reid daicos) not playing, so addressing one of those this round would be nice, but not strictly needed now.

On a scale of 1-10, how silly is Grundy, Jackson and Howes to Clohesy, Steele and Gawn? Team for reference. Screenshot_20240407_213631_Chrome.jpg

I posted my reasoning for going Graham early this morning. Clohesy will be a great downgrade/correction next round.

Strong watch on Graham with his D/M.

One I may go early on and use him as a loop if dropped in future replacing Livingstone with Darcy at R7.

His D/M link with all these likely new D/M additions will be handy. GCS have a decent amount of Saturday night and Sunday games for it to work.
Edit: Clohesy could still qualify for DPP if he plays both rounds before R7.

Pies and Swans bye this week so Howe (Hore injured anyway) will be available to play if needed

Sitting 320th overall so going to stay aggressive for another week and probably use a 3rd boost. At the moment it's likely to be:
Howes to Clohesy
Burgess to Lohmann
Clark to N Martin
This cleans up some low performing/ possibly almost maxed out rookies and brings in what should hopefully be 2 solid rookies and a premium defender (when given DPP)

Howes > Clohesy
Sexton > Graham/Tunstill/McAuliffe
Jordon > Miller

Will be upgrading Jordon this week and likely going Howes > Clohesy to mostly fund it as well as Sexton to someone...

Will probably have $590K or so, will look at Green/Merrett/Butters/Daicos in future weeks, for players that have peaked later. Should have just enough for Miller, as long as he goes sub 115 today. Probably a 95-100 is good, enough for me to still be interested in him, but not too poor a score that I get cold feet.

Going early on two rookies :LOL:
Essentially doesn't matter as much when Howes/Sexton/Jordon are likely all peaked, it would cost points and money to hold them longer.

Rozee vs Miller vs Steele will be my decision all week...

Steele - Best role of the 3. He is the man at the Saints, Brad Crouch is 4-6 weeks away, Dow will likely be at least 1-2 weeks. He has had a great fixture run thus far though and was $60K cheaper two weeks ago. I knew he'd enjoy the narrow ground today so shouldn't let today's score sway me. 28 years old, not too old (I know Bont is 28!)

Miller - Was my original trade-in plan but upcoming fixture is just ok and an 89 today. Actually had his lowest CBA rate of the year (63%) with Graham entering at 49%... A bit of a spanner in the works? Also 28 years old.

Rozee - Don't particluarly like his short term fixture, just scored 152 (don't want to chase) & multiple Port mids to compete with (Butters/Wines/JHF/Drew) - but strangely feel best about him of the 3 options... 24 years old, so potentially I am ageist
