Yep, very close to getting LDU in. Will be very difficult to ignore him under 550k.
He will be under 550k for a reason. Has looked horrible and at times disinterested this season.

If he passes the eye test for a couple of weeks in a row then consider, otherwise my advice is to steer clear.

Do we think hore gets his job back in a couple weeks or should I get rid of him now. (Luxury sideways trade for clohesy as opposed to waiting a week and grabbing clohesy as downgrade)

Going to be a hard team to get into I reckon. Depends on how many non playing rookies you have not making you cash, if more than 2-3 cash in start making some coin.

Whilst those moves look good in isolation I think that you've got bigger issues than doing a luxury trade right now. I'm seeing 5 dead rookies on your bench and that needs to be addressed sooner rather than later.

That being said, I guess you could boost next week and fix 3 of those rookies with Graham, Comben and maybe Ramsden, otherwise your upgrading will come to a grinding halt.
100% agree with you OTB!

My only justification on this move is to level with 89.8% of the top 10% who own him, I just can't foresee myself climbing any further without him. I'm content with the decision considering I haven't boosted for it, and you're spot on, I will comfortably spend the boost I saved this week to fill those holes.

Have cooled on trading Jackson. Still think trading is a perfectly fine idea but two things are stoping me. 1 is the lack of cheap premiums I feel comfortable with. Martin and Whitfield (my preferences) have big question marks themselves. And 2 is the upcoming run. Has been reported that Darcy will be eased into it which was fully expected, but he plays Port and WC which are arguably the two best ruck matchups.

Jordon > Steele
Billings > Clohesy
Howes > Comben/Graham

If I go for Comben he will be fielded. If I go for Graham, Brown will be fielded. Think I’ll be going for Graham at this stage. Brown v WC is a great matchup and I get an extra 110k in case things go pear-shaped this week.
Whats the reason for Howes - Comben this week? Seems like its a boost used for the sake of it. We've seen Howes capable of a spike and with the 20 about to drop out unless you have 3 trades pegged in for next week the value of holding looks to outweigh going this week

Really torn on the JHF trade in. If he gets the FWD status probably means he’ll have spent a fair chuck forward resulting in lower scores.

Flipside if he scores well means he played predominantly MID doesn’t get the FWD status…
Hornet irrelevant as a mid I think. Id be looking for value elsewhere.

Something I have to decide within the next 2 hours. More so trying to get ahead of the game for next week as I believe Graham and Comben will be must haves or close to, and I’m planning to get Daicos. There’s 3 trades tied up if I don’t boost this week. Georgiades and Ramsden may be viable and there’s others like Worner and Conway who may warrant a trade if they play this week.

I do think Howes may be able to kick start his cash gen as we’ve seen he’s capable of scoring, but he has Brisbane (tough matchup) then the bye. I expect he’ll be a slow burn if he does happen to kickstart his cash gen again. I’m also aiming to get the defence complete early and Clohesy and Brown are already DEF only, leaving me with 3, forcing one on field.

Daicos Breakeven is 110 so he won't get away from you. You should have a couple of chances to bring him in.

Howes to Clohesy and Coffield to Graham corrects my rookie backline problems, and generates $156k in the kitty.

The way I see it, I have 3 options:

Option 1
Upgrade Grundy > Marshall (I have Jackson to swing into the ruck, but could do with Marshall's scoring in the best 18) - but hearing talk of Marshall being smashed after last week's game??

Option 2
McKercher > JHF - feeling nervous re JHF consistency and injury-prone-ness, but potential of a DPP is there. My heart says yes, but the brain is saying wait one more week

Option 3
Cancel the Coffield > Graham trade and wait one more week. Save my trades for Round 6.

Anyone think Matt Crouch is worth a look or is that Crows team just a disaster waiting to happen?
Feel the time was RD1. Dawson, LDU, etc could be available sub $550k and feel others have a more favourable best case scenario in terms of avg for remainder of the season than Crouch. Handballs too much and too many sideways/backwards/little kicks (have not watched this season so unsure whether he has changed) and doesn’t contribute enough in the other areas to boast a high enough ceiling to warrant the investment.

The knock on Crouch throughout his career has been that he racks them up but gets very little SC points per possession, ergo if he doesn't rack them up he struggles to score, and without the monster scores a high ceiling affords his average is curtailed. For example in his best season (2017) he topped out at 146 (from 45 touches) with 7 scores under 100 (including 78 from 31 touches and 97 from 38(!) touches).

This season doesn't appear any different.

Guess I keep Howe for now. ZReid probably needs to give up his spot to a playing rookie. Finished work too late to work out anything tonight, anyway.

Purely his price will help unlock an upgrade, rather than decimating my FWD line trading out Fisher.. He's on the bye and his BE suggests he's prob got not much cash left to make.
Not sure trading Roberts is the right play… will get Defender Mid DPP in round 7, is averaging more than Fisher with 83.4… and only has a breakeven of 14?
Roberts already gone up $169k also….he will make $250k …..
