Exactly right….it’s something I’m considering in order to bring in even Petracca plus $120k to upgrade a Williams/ Fyfe type to a mid premium before round 12…
For the later Williams/Fyfe trade which mid-priced premo’s would be in your target list?

Here are my options for the week and it centres on whether Comben's high price is worth paying or wait for next week's cheaper bubble boys and do we give Jackson one more. Keen to get everyone's thoughts on which option?

McKercher > Graham
Clark > Comden via Mannagh
Sanders > Steele = 11k

McKercher > Graham
Sanders > Steele = 55k

McKercher > Graham
Sanders > Steele
Jackson > Marshall = 10k

If the premium you are targeting is also going up in value then you don't need to worry so much about missing that last $50K on the rookie. We can never get that max point perfectly timed. So if you need to cull say Dempsey coming off a 56 then do it.
RE:...."If the premium you are targeting is also going up in value then you don't need to worry so much about missing that last $50K on the rookie....."
If I am understanding this correctly,
the $50k that a Rookie will make can be used later for an upgrade, but the Premium you are trading in, even though going up in value, will likely be a Keeper, so there will be no benefit to help in future upgrades.

Currently set on
McKercher & Clark -> Nyuon & Graham.
Weighing up: Fischer -> $658k OR Cadman -> $533k.

Don't have Heeney at the moment, so will either go to him, or a top-level midfielder? (Currently have Bont, Steele, Rozee, Miller).

Would love to hear some insight regarding which top-level premium I should go for. Leaning towards Serong (despite the high BE) due to the upcoming run for Freo. Thanks!

Find another option for Sanders - with Libba missing, and being subbed last week, he is likely to reset his cash generation.

Although having cash is definitely important, option 3 looks pretty good getting 2 keeper premo’s into your team

I agree but would have to sacrifice other rookies/mid pricers who are more consistent and making money and I don't trust Bevo either.
Open to ideas though, here is my team.

I was finally going to trade Lyons to Comben to unlock the 31K I need to fund a Flanders upgrade, but then I realised I can also unlock 31K from Jackson to Yeo before Yeo's price skyrockets off his 14 breakeven.

I know Jackson has West Coast this week, but Darcy is returning and his breakeven is 156. Is it worth missing Comben and having Jackson's money invested in Yeo from this point instead? I know Yeo is coming off a soft Richmond matchup, but he looked great against Sydney too and is a top 2 mid at West Coast.

Yeo for me was a starting pick, not someone you trade to during season due to the very high injury risk. If you are okay with that risk trade is fine. Not for me, however.

Yeah I tend to agree and it is definitely an aggressive risk trade. I guess I am just concerned Jackson starts going at a 90 average and Yeo goes at 105-110 from this point for 20K less. The fact this sideways trade unlocks the same amount of cash as my "downgrade" has me considering it.

Forwards without Jackson are Heeney, Flanders, Powell, Fyfe, Reid & Darcy which seems fine for now.

I am going CLARK TO WALSH, MCKERCHER TO W. GRAHAM, JACKSON TO EITHER DRURY OR GARCIA.. leaning Garcia if not named as sub.. Drury does have hawks but I actually feel it'll be harder to get scores this week vs hawks as both are treating it as a mini grand final almost whereas the geelong game was basically a friendly lol...

Garcia last qtr was mighty impressive and can see him bringing similar efforts and numbers in a prime time slot... either way one comes in this week... the other next week.

I also have Jackson at R2, but not concerned with his price drop. Will eventually go into my forwards and provide ruck cover. No other Forwards screaming pick me. I have no doubt Darcy will get injured again and Jackson's price will go back up.

For the first time all season I am really torn on my trades this week so very open to suggestions.

Current team :-

Screen Shot 2024-04-18 at 9.03.58 am.png

Cash ; $74,900

McKercher > Graham is the only trade locked in.

Combden has looked very good last 2 weeks & could be a possible F6 if he stays fit with that intercepting marking role he has. The simple move is Campbell > Comden.

Have contemplated moving Jackson on with Sean Darcy returning this week, no doubt Jackson will be impacted but WCE have historically given up big points to rucks/ Darcy might be eased back in also. By going Jackson > Combden it allows me to get Steele to add to my super premium mids then & look at adding Walsh next week if he looks great again. Could take a risk in going early on McAuliffe (tigers decimated by injury) which would allow me to get Miller but not Steele/ then Walsh next week.

Want to hold Sanders as I feel he goes well tonight with no Libba & if he gets DP then very handy to move into my fwds. Sam Darcy the other one obviously which is a real factor for ruck cover if I move Jackson on.

Appreciate any suggestions on this (y)

Sanders named 5th on the bench seems concerning.... has anyone noticed if this has had a correlation to a player starting sub this year??
