Was not my plan coming into the round but I’m liking:

Jackson > Daicos
Williams > Walsh
Cadman > Garcia

Planned on using Bonner to get Daicos but Williams has taken priority. Jackson is such a frustrating watch. One of the most overrated players in the league in my opinion. Struggling to see him reaching a 90 average with Darcy in the side. Honestly believe Reid is a premium now although recency bias may be playing a part. I already have Heeney, Flanders, Rankine and Powell along with Jackson and Reid so I’m comfortable trading Jackson. Only caught a bit of the Carlton game but looking at the stats, Walsh is super fit right now. 35 touches with no marks despite having a predominantly uncontested game. Willing to take the risk and the best time to jump on is now.

If one of Nyuon/Drury demand a trade in, I’ll probably have to scrap the Jackson trade.

Anybody got the inside word on Bevo’s view of Macrae after this week. Can we pick him with any confidence he won’t be subbed again.
Feels risky to me. Bevo seems to make strange decisions almost for the sake of it, and has been making even stranger ones year to date.

Personally I’m inclined to pay more for Macrae with the benefit of more information. Alternately, if I brought him in I would be treating him like an injury prone player who I may need to trade back out.

Ive got Stewart, Young, ZWill, Hore and Reid all probably missing next week so my trades will have to be to try and avoid a donut. Will swing graham into defense and bench Young in the mids assuming his hamstring is minor (he wasn't even limping when he went to the bench...). Then Zill out roberts back and Walsh in. Will need to bin reid or hore to avoid a donut which is really annoying considering i held them hoping they would come back in and be viable rookies. and then need to find 100k to fund williams to Walsh already have $109k in the bank).
Zwill-Walsh
Hore-Garcia
Sharp-Drury (maybe pending his score)
For some coaches, it may be worth considering simply wearing the donut.

It’s probably only worth 60 points or so (assuming it only persists for one week), so it’s not worth making a lot of compromised decisions - if that’s how you view them - to avoid.

Williams an obvious trade out option this week. Will likely hold Young unless it’s a 3-4 week injury. Probably time for Sharp to go and Carroll isn’t worth moving on anymore. Just hold him and hope for an injury to give him another run at it. Think Cadman has done his job and can move him on as well.

As far as trade ins on the rookie side I liked the look of Garcia. Seems to have decent JS as well. Hoping Nyuon puts his hand up today or could also look at McAuliffe. At the other end of the scale all of Dale, Macrae, Dawson and LDU interest me. Probably Macrae at number 1 as it stands. Know I’m in the minority here.

So maybe this lands as Williams, Sharp and Cadman for Garcia, Nyuon/McAuliffe and Macrae. Leaves me hopefully with around $200k in bank to target English and Green/Petracca in round 8.

Looking like...

Williams > Walsh, Daicos back
Cadman > Garcia, Reid forward
Dempsey > Nyuon

Leaves a bit of cash for Drew and Grundy luxury upgrades the following week

Young expected to be back next week - awareness only and cautious approach given the game was iced at that point. Source:

Wait and see how Drury & Nyuon score.

Williams either up or down , have Graham in my mids so opens up a M (or even a F or R) , plenty of options to explore.

Might even look at cashing in Heeney and seeing what opportunities that brings.

See how Petracca (and Oliver) score Wednesday night and see what their new BE and price will be as well to factor in Round 7 , 8 and 9 trade targets.

Lots to go through and play around with different combinations
Forgot all about Comben getting DPP as well

Williams to a F via Comben

Williams to a R via Comben & Livingstone

Hurry up and open the new round to look at possibilities 🤗

Bevo's public post-game statement on Macrae is very promising but with Libba to return I think the prudent approach is just to wait and see what happens over the next few games.
One of Bevo's best assets is the inside work of Libba and you'd assume that it would be smart to manage him so he's doesn't get smashed every week shouldering that load, he's already showing signs of wear and tear, but Bevo is as Bevo does.

Got Walsh already and very happy with the return
Plan was to upgrade in defence and Williams provides the perfect opportunity.
However with Stewart and Young injured, Ryan probably worth another week, have Naicos…

Yeo, Whitfield or Vlaustin worth a look. Feels like I’ve missed the boat on Yeo though and is just one injury away at all times
