At this stage

Out: Jackson & Sanders
In: Marshall & Merrett
Think I may have been a touch overzealous with my initial plans. Looked at the easy draws, but need to go for value to keep some $$ for next round. A new dawn leads to common sense.

Really wanted Zerrett though :(

Am looking at the following now

Sanders & Dempsey > Walsh & Garcia

Carlton
Carlton seem positive that Williams will come up for this week so think i will keep him subject to selection.

Early thoughts are Carroll & Sharp to H Garcia & Jack Bowes.

Would have 492,600 for second trade and want to go one up.
Leaves side thus:

Sheezel, Ryan, D'Ambrosio, Williams, Howes, Clohesy, (Stewart, Pink)

Bontompelli, Petracca, Green, Daicos, Walsh C, Amon, Bowes, Roberts, (Windsor, Graham E, Garcia)

Gawn VC, Grundy, (Livingstone)

Heeney, Jackson, Reid, Comben, Darcy, Cadman, (Wilson E, Sexton)

This team could by some measures be considered to have a complete backline.

But, half of it is playing in the midfield!!

Really want to bring in Rowell this week. Such a good draw for the rest of the year, and is moving so much better from contest to contest this year. Price is high though. I think he averages more than Walsh and doesn't have the injury risk. Means going against the masses though.
I'm looking that way myself. As ever, sequenced my trade ins in the wrong order, went Zerrett last week, should have been Rowell.

Where do people rate Harley Reid in the pantheon of Forwards?
Currently (among Fwds on Footywire) he is..
12th on Total Pts
4th on 3-round average

Is he top 10 from here? If so he might still be a good trade at under $400K
I would think he finishes on par with Jackson from here averaging 90 at least….
so could be popular with Jackson trade down to Reid …
I am strongly considering it….very sideways but Reid will be above $500k in next couple of weeks

Right now he’s firmly in the mix. Don’t think he’s a good trade in though.

Bit of an X v Y for me this week & keen to hear a few thoughts.

X
Out: MCrouch, Bramble, Sharp
In: Petracca, Walsh, Garcia

Few DPP swings here to make it work and leaves me with 6 premos missing Round 14. Not sure how I feel about that number; reckon it's a little high. Wasn't sold on Walsh's body holding up this season & never really considered him which scares me a little.

Y
Out: Bramble, Zilliams, Sharp
In: Petracca, MAndrew, Garcia

Don't know how I feel about gambling Andrew being a solid 90-100 scorer across the season, but he's being scored well at present. Is he a keeper?

Next week: D'Ambrosio, Lazarro & Dempsey for Bont & two rooks.

Rather the first but note that Petrock has coin to lose.

You might find it hard to find 2 rookies next week, I can only see Garcia and maybe Rogers as options so maybe it's worthwhile to downgrade 1 of Mass/Lazzaro/Dempsey this week to a Nyuon/Drury? Not that I have much confidence in either.

Bramble > Walsh
Sharp > Garcia
Massimo > Nyuon

I don't like the Andrew pick unless he's a placeholder/cash grab, don't see him being in the top 8 defenders.

I think he is referring to strong scores….Powell was poor yesterday and price will only drop from here….Phillips also included yesterday….time to cash out now and move on to a proper permium
Finding proper premium fwds beyond Heeney and Flanders is proving challenging this year. Powell stays until very late I reckon. Just upgrade around him.

Needed to look at value.

Although many have mentioned how easy it will be to complete teams with ultra premiums , I certainly don't see it for my team hence why I was looking at him.

Now hoping to get Sicily & Stewart in upcoming rounds instead (to add to Daicos , Houston & Sheezel) so hoping Roberts can do the job of D6 as long as possible.

Similarly H Reid will be F6 for as long as possible with (J Cameron , Flanders , Heeney , Jackson , Powell).

Hopefully downgrade options appear in the next 3-4 rounds for Brown , Cadman & Wilson and then that cash upgrades Clohesy , Comben & Graham to best possible players.

Sharp is the missing piece of the puzzle at the moment and what I do with him (so many premium mids about to/are falling in price but will they be affordable at the right price at the right time)
I think a fairly strong argument could be made for aiming for a mix of premiums and a few not-quite-premiums where a few of the latter will shine brightly for a few games, as opposed to trying to go all out just for premiums.
