The last two seasons, Hawthorn beat the team who went on to win the premiership (the only side that managed to do this in both 22 and 23). Maybe this is a good sign for the Roos, as they are the only team the Hawks have beaten this year. I'm guessing you would get pretty good odds on the Roos winning the flag!

I do think the Roos are a chance this week at least. They really need to show something, as they should have been far more competitive on the weekend. The Hawks did come out and say the Suns game was unacceptable and they played much better this week - maybe the Roos can learn from that, as a team also in a similar rebuilding phase.

We started well with some endeavour then just were outworked by a team that wanted it more. Not quite sure how we're going to kick a winning score at the moment either, there's just not enough forward of the ball.

Anyway, look at WCE... bit of spark and all the heads lift and it's like a different team has taken the field. We really need that at some point this year :oops:
