As a Forest fan, it has been atrocious, to say the least, to the see the media, with the likes of Callagher and Neville, condemning Forest for the tweet they put out after Sunday's game against Everton.
I will admit that I disagreed, with perhaps the mannerism for what Forest insinuated, but I think that is is about time someone said something re VAR.
VAR has ruined the game, especially in England, when you see the inconsistenties in decisions re penalties, and toe nails deciding o***ides. The Coventry o***ide was a joke! Only a p****c hair was in front of the Man Utd defender.
Forest flagged before the game their concern that the VAR was a Luton supporter, then had 3 disallowed penalties. One of which, was a handball, exactly the same as the one given to Coventry a day later in the FA Cup; one where the referee was signaling to the VAR that the Everton player got the ball, during a pause in the game afterwards. The video showed that he didn't, yet no overule was made, let alone a referral to review on screen.
Technology has been majorly criticised this year in the AFL, and the PGMOL in England are running an embarrassing organisation. Technology is ruining these sports to some extent. We've lost the purity of the sport, all because TV was showing that umpires and referee's were wrong. Next every decision on the ground in the AFL will be assessed.
I came across this on my FB feed today, which IMO says it all re the PGMOL. Top 6 have the most penalties.... What a surprise!!! The last sentence sums it up for Forest.
RANT OVER!
