Will definitely be using a booster this week and my trades will likely be:

Outs: S. Campbell, Z. Williams & Bramble
In: Sweet, Rogers & Serong

Leaves me with one boost, 22 trades, no cash & 7 upgrades (including Roberts, Powell & Reid) left.

Hopefully this week Gawn has a stinker so I can finally start heading up the ranks

Next weeks potential moves:
Outs: Comben & Roberts
In: Ryan & Jones

Dempsey to Jake Rogers may be my only trade.

May sit on Powell for one week, think Phillips was subbed for an injury. Don’t think Powell did anything after that. Cannot get to a genuine premium and feels like a lot of mouths to feed at Adelaide.

Sweet in last week and Garcia may be worth holding off on. No boosts left.

Rooze, Jackson, Williams out
Sweet, Rowell, Laird
Or
Sweet, Merrett, Touk/Yeo
Would like some help with this, its time for jackson to go worth 500k and scoring like a good rookie.

Feel pretty good about the team. Wanted English in this week, but the R2 points from Sweet are just too good to ignore.

Don't understand at all the rationale for trading out Rozee. As I think someone mentioned before, you've got to think back to the Supercoach Racoon's lessons from years gone by... the time for trading premiums was before upgrade season. Everytime you sideways a premium now, you are giving points up to someone else who is improving their team by getting a rookie off the field.

$400k in the bank so likely English next week and maybe Sinclair & Bont/Trac/Oliver the week after.

I'm treating this week as a bit of wait and see - I have Naismith sitting on his 'bubble' BUT Sweet looks far too tempting. Will wait for teams and if Naismith is selected will sit with him and take the slightly smaller rise. Rogers v Garcia (WB) is another - I'm leaning towards Jake as I've watched him for 4 years now so can see some big upside in him. Wait on Darcy Jones ' second game before pulling the trigger on him. Draper injury update as well and will consider shuffling Roberts back to D and pick up another attractive mid - before some premium upgrades next week. Team selection will be crucial this week.

those that used their boosts to go 2 down 1 up also likely have the higher priced cash cows like roberts zwill massimo sharp etc that could easily go 1 down 1 up at least for the next few weeks and keep up with the cycle of bringing a premo in each week
Could u explain a little more the 1 down 1 up strategy? So is this like selling 2 cash rich rookies for around $300k each, buy 1 cheap rookie for $120k and 1 premo for $500k+ with a bit of $$ in the bank as a buffer?

I think sweet is nearly a must have due to him more than likely be worth 400k+ in 3 or 4 rounds. To much money to be made there even if his just sitting on the bench.

Early thinking is:

Out: Powell, Darcy, Thomas
In: Dawson, Moore, Rogers

Not 100% on the 3 ins and may not use a boost after all. Dawson looks in good form but Laird is a strong option as well, potentially more POD too as people flock to Dawson. Rogers I'm not sold on but feels better than Garcia who seems to be in the 22nd/23rd player position and being a single position FWD only player has a lot of risk given I got Biggy last week. Last thing I want is to have 2 poor fwd only options that become an anchor around my neck!
Moore seems to be back after an interrupted preseason with glandular fever. $462k is a great price for a player that should be top 6-8 in the forward line based on his potential. Helps me move an extra rookie off field and with Macrae swinging forward and Reid holding F6, means I can focus on midfield upgrades, starting with a discounted Trac next week.

Agreed, the question is R2 or R3. Not sweet or sour.
Well i got gawn and english so R3 it is. I think its time to move jackson on for a premo mid, his scoring like a rookie and since there is no fwds really scoring well apart from heeney and flanders might as well just have rookies in the fwd line for now. Do you think its a bad idea on passing on garcia?

After the worst performance during a round since I can remember, I need to make wholesale changes so here they are;

OUT: Rozee (inj), R Marshall, Massimo
IN: T Green, Gawn, B Dale

Brought in Sweet last round. R Garcia would have been sub if Libba wasn’t a late out and Rogers was great last round but won’t play WC every week and scored just 28 on debut. I don’t see either Garcia or Rogers as must-haves.

Appears to be plenty of downgrade options the following round with some impressive showings from several playing their first matches of the season last round.
As much as it hurts I think you have to bet against Gawn. Trading him in won't help you catch anyone.
If you're having a bad year and you go backwards you're still just having a bad year.
You probably knew when you traded him out that he could go big against Richmond.
Carlton and Geelong haven't let ruckmen off the leash this year.
I really like what Geelong are doing in their midfield without having a superstar in there. (Danger's hardly played)
I didn't start English last year and never got him in but I'd rather chase a high finish with the chance of crashing than gracefully finish in the middle of the pack.

Through no deliberate planning I've ended up here - still holding Roberts, Williams (probably out this week), Massimo, Cadman, because I did the above on stalled guys like Campbell, Windsor and Carroll. My main problem is that I didn't necessarily bring in the best rookie options when doing so.

Any interest in Laird?
Only because I already have him. If not, I'd probably be avoiding until seeing if his bounce back is real or if there's obvious reasons for it (I've been out of consistent internet access for the last few weeks so not only haven't kept up with why he dropped, I've also done some questionable trades based off limited information! Hi Tunstill! Fun!)

I think it's too late to trade jackson, his price has already near bottomed out. At this point you hold until atleast the byes when you can look at luxury upgrades with any remaining trades.
You should be able to find some rookies to cull for a mid upgrade rather than jackson?

Garcia isn't a must get, but he is more than viable option to enable a premo purchase.

Anyone else got a hobbled looking Jack Steele in their team?

I traded him in early, got some good scores and good price rise but I'm not sure I want to hold now and watch it disintegrate... it's very sideways to move him but I'm looking at a No. 1 draft pick in his 5th year on a huge improvement curve averaging 130.

I don't think Jack in his current state gets within 20+ppg of that
