That assumes other teams aren’t maxing out there cash already this round. I think the theory of falling behind on upgrades is a little flawed in the world of boosts because the reality is, teams are really doing a double up every week. So while on a given week a team could be going from 14 premiums to 16 vs a team going from 14 to 15 with a sideways trade, a lot of the time teams are just going from 14 to 15 premiums and using the other trade to unlock cash, or not boosting.
So overall there are probably a lot of weeks where you aren’t actually falling behind at all, and in fact would be further behind if you didn’t make the trade because you’re down a premium holding the injured player.
FWIW I’m one who usually holds for a week or 2 depending on the type of injury and circumstances, but I also believe it’s a heavily team dependant decision. I’d also be surprised if it was only a 1 week hammy for Rozee given he was off and iced even though they basically had no rotations. They also aren’t going to take a chance on their star captain. Everyone will have a different opinion, but don’t think it’s the worst trade given the individual circumstances.
