Kept a trade in hand myself - which I probably shouldn't have done - but am at least going to try and get a jump on coming rounds.

KKR are really interesting in that while they have looked pretty good as a team, they only have three players averaging a worthwhile amount - Narine, Salt and Russell. The next best is Arora (51.5 from 4) but among regulars you drop down to Shreyas (44.8). That seems to make either bringing in another KKR player - or indeed trying to short Narine for a round and make some money that way - a pretty bad idea on the whole.

So given I'm not going to be using my bowl bench this round I can bring in a Rajasthan player. Given they'd have to be bowl eligible or I'm stuck taking Klaasen, there are again very few good options.
Ashwin? Defensive bowlers are completely worthless right now and his batting role has disappeared with the openers coming back into form.
Chahal? Might be at a good price but would need big hauls anywhere other than on the double to be a good pick, isn't keeping the runs down and doesn't have a second string to his bow.
Sandeep? Looks to be RR's preferred death bowler, but price means I have to give up Kuldeep or Axar, who probably come back in on Delhi's next double anyway.
Avesh? A death bowler I can get for the price of Khaleel but isn't really a wicket taker - is much better at hitting the tramline and bowling quiet overs. 9 wickets for the season and no more than two in any one innings.

I think it probably has to be Kuldeep to Sandeep though. Don't really want him on a single for the same reason as Chahal and Sandeep at least has the chance to take bulk death wickets. Especially given Rajasthan have been ridiculously strong all season.

My App has had an update and I'm disappointed with losing some functionality, under team, we lose the reference to viewing the fixture via the arrow on the top right hand side, now have to click on gameday, also can't search for a player without clicking on the players tab.

Sportsdeck and SC have both changed their layout.

Still accessible through the “My Team” tab, just have to press on the arrow down the bottom.

So tonight's going to be interesting...

Shaw, JFM, Pant, Axar, Narine, Salt (Russell)

Tempted to swing Curran back for Axar which would at least let me look at Russell... could turn him into another RR player if he goes off.

Ugh. Strangled down leg side.

Just hasn't quite come together for me this year. I'm hitting captains, for a change, but there's just been a fraction of luck missing on the fringes.

Fully expecting 20 and 2 from Russell now just to rub it in!

Arora shaping up as a decent option for KKR’s double. Personally was looking at one of H.Rana or Chakravarthy as they bowl death overs, but he has now come into the equation. Although when you look at the opposition, they play Mumbai (Rohit/Kishan) and Lucknow (Rahul/QDK) who both have strong opening pairs so maybe the other two are still better options.

Still has to get picked for both games as well - think he's been sacrificed a bit for team balance at times. Was looking at him too but don't think I can go there even after a very good start tonight. More likely to punt on Rana, or maybe even Raghuvanshi.

I have been tossing it around in my head all day, but I think that I am going to use a boost to bring Salt in. If my calcs are correct he has a negative BE and I was planning to use a boost next round and he was one of my targets anyway. May as well save some cash by boosting a round earlier. Same net result of trade use over the two rounds.
The man just does not miss.

7/746 (Gaikwad) - thankfully have had Salt in my team for some time! Made the right call to get Russell off field which hopefully pays dividends too given over half the comp holds him.

Ali, Dube and Pathirana under consideration. Can go a week early on Salt but unable to loop with Stubbs. Could use the final boost as well on Bumrah, Yadav, Samson and Klassen for Salt, Dube, Pathirana and Ahmed.
Ended up using the final boost for the above plans.

Donuts for Rashid and Russell was not part of the plan. :ROFLMAO:
