Kept a trade in hand myself - which I probably shouldn't have done - but am at least going to try and get a jump on coming rounds.
KKR are really interesting in that while they have looked pretty good as a team, they only have three players averaging a worthwhile amount - Narine, Salt and Russell. The next best is Arora (51.5 from 4) but among regulars you drop down to Shreyas (44.8). That seems to make either bringing in another KKR player - or indeed trying to short Narine for a round and make some money that way - a pretty bad idea on the whole.
So given I'm not going to be using my bowl bench this round I can bring in a Rajasthan player. Given they'd have to be bowl eligible or I'm stuck taking Klaasen, there are again very few good options.
Ashwin? Defensive bowlers are completely worthless right now and his batting role has disappeared with the openers coming back into form.
Chahal? Might be at a good price but would need big hauls anywhere other than on the double to be a good pick, isn't keeping the runs down and doesn't have a second string to his bow.
Sandeep? Looks to be RR's preferred death bowler, but price means I have to give up Kuldeep or Axar, who probably come back in on Delhi's next double anyway.
Avesh? A death bowler I can get for the price of Khaleel but isn't really a wicket taker - is much better at hitting the tramline and bowling quiet overs. 9 wickets for the season and no more than two in any one innings.
I think it probably has to be Kuldeep to Sandeep though. Don't really want him on a single for the same reason as Chahal and Sandeep at least has the chance to take bulk death wickets. Especially given Rajasthan have been ridiculously strong all season.
