Brody Grundy question...

I didn't watch the game, any reason his TOG and therefore CBA was low? Is he playing hurt or did he just get stuck on the bench?

I know his scores suffer because of all the frees against, just wondering if it's one out of the box or if he's got an issue.

Not sure in regards to the other points but CBA holds no importance or relevance whatsoever for a ruck since ruck contests attended is readily available and thus accounts for all stoppages around the ground rather than just limited to after a goal or at the start of a quarter since no magic multiplier is received at a CBA and thus eliminates the need for inference.

Swans were very free flowing, lots of overlap running and fast ball movement. Not necessarily a game for the bigs. Didn't appear injured, but wasn't watching him closely

Fair point!

My question is really, was Grundy hampered at all? His TOG was 83 mins, down from 95-ish most weeks. The pies game was his next lowest at 86.

Hard to know from stats alone if he was just stuck on the bench, rested because the game was shot, or carrying some kind of niggle. Keen to get any thoughts from people who watched the game!

I don’t have Grundy any more however I do have Meek so was conscious of when Meek was up against the 2nd Ruck. Grundy seemed to be going to the bench twice a quarter rather than the standard once. I don’t know if that is standard for Grundy but it did surprise me.

Swans have back to back 6 day breaks coming up against two strong teams. I think they were very smart with Grundy playing lower TOG against a team they are a level above. (Coming from a Hawks supporter.)
