Looking like Lomax > Kiraz / Manu,
Munster > Plath
Chan > Whyte

Need to make 3 trades this week. Rd 14 bye is not too much of a concern as I only have 2 roosters / dolphins / Raiders players at the moment.

I can make the Plath move work pretty well which I’m now leaning over Cole or Weekes. Plays 13/16/17/19/20. Locked into about 55-60 minutes a game. Feel like I can carry him pretty easy through 14/18 at this stage.

The Whyte move opens up a DPP link with Curran / Cotter and 65-70 minutes at lock with the roosters draw opening up and Origin players out.Just leaves picking between Manu and Kiraz. Could also go Isaako if I wanted. Leaning Manu with his draw as he’s the one I’m really scared not owning over the origin period, even if he plays CTW. NQC/PAR/BUL/WST/STG/MEL over next 6. Also not really that affected by origin with his right sided half Walker not likely to get a look into QLD.

Next week will be Crichton > Fifita and Either Robson > Api with a potential Drinkwater > Teddy / Latrell eyed up round 15 when the draw gets tough for Cowboys.
Changed minds again. Didn’t realise Hynes was only likely to play 2/3 of next 8 games and has short turnarounds 14/17.

Thinking Hynes > Walker, Lomax > Manu and Chan > Plath instead of Whyte.

Allows a path next week to bring in a 2RF for Munster by moving Plath into 5/8. Would have to do 1 downgrade of approximately 170-175k to get Fifita.

I don't mind it, been looking at Whyte too but I may jump on Preston instead... obviously it depends if you got the dollars to do that... as I said I don't mind Whyte

I like Whyte as well. Think he’s a good short term option until Watson comes back. After that I get a bit more concerned.

I just value the flexibility of Plath’s DPP with 5/8 a bit more since I have Munster.

FWIW - I like Preston - would probably choose him if I was ignoring all other factors and just looking for points out of Whyte, Plath, Preston

Plan to grab Fifita next round to replace Crichton/Nanai. Hughes/Cole under consideration if I wish to grab a HFB/ 5/8.
Decided to update Aitken to Plath to free up an extra $150k. Dual position status may come in handy with dwindling trades. Can still grab J Hughes if I wish or grab his teammate Katoa instead. Means running one of Plath and Galvin at 5/8 over the byes and origin periods but works out well with a lack of options and only the one bye in RD18 for the Dolphins (Tigers this round).

Would anyone have a preference between keeping Strange and Lane? Both likely to go by next round or Round 15. Strange has more trade value (higher price), has a lower breakeven (may sneak some extra cash before trading] but also has the bye next round. Plan will be for Crichton and Talagi to be turned into Fifita and Katoa.

Seems like you have everything sorted Connoisseur and to answer your preference question, I'd probably prefer to move on Lane first with his bench role now over Strange who has the number 6 role locked in. Ideally you'd trade in a replacement that plays both round 13 & 14.

Who we thinking for captain this week?
C
- Teddy should be the number one option or any roosters with high upside (Manu, Young, Walker)
- Drinkwater (missing most of his team so it limits his ceiling but will be involved in everything attack wise + goalkicking with no Val)
VC
- Isaako & Farnworth (at home vs the raiders who aren't the best defensively out wide, these 2 could go big)
- Armstrong (bulldogs actually defend against fullbacks pretty well, only conceded twice to them all season)
- Gagai (running at a new doggies left side with Burton and Kikau out + goalkicking)
- Kiraz (not as high of a ceiling playing at centre)
- Brown (should be back to his favoured left edge)
- Moses/Gutherson (not sure if they'll click first game back)
- Mulitalo (pod shout, surely due a big one after a few lean weeks right?)

Few decent choices eh..

What about you Cheerio? Any c picks locked in?

Personally for VC, I'm considering dbags, marzhew, isaako.

For C, its a toss up between drinky/ dom. Or maybe an earlier captain like isaako.

VC Isaako C Teddy for me. Cowboys were already a bad defensive side but losing 6 players to Origin makes me think this could be a blowout at Allianz, even if the weather is bad.

Strange by a country mile. More upside then the 20-30 you will get from Lane off the bench.

Not many options this week. I think if you have Tedesco you have to back him in even in the wet. For those non-teddy owners like myself (Edwards/Drinkwater at FB), I’m leaning a Captaincy at Manu. Facing the left side defence of the Cowboys attack who are losing Dearden/Holmes/Taulagi to Origin.
Clifford / Chester / Burns.

Could potentially go Young, but with the wet, he’s not really known for having the best ball control skills.

VC is more tricky. No Isaako / Kiraz so really looking at an Armstrong or Dylan Brown. Probably Dylan’s Brown is the answer.
