Well that forces my hand at hooker since I’m committed to holding Hynes at least through to 16 and with Walker on the bye.
Robson > Hands and David Armstrong > D Fifita via Salmon

But nervous running a Nuff + Hands at Hooker, but I guess it’s reasonable and allows me to load up the rest of my team.
Leaves me looking like
Hands (Nuff)
Curran, Cotter (Willison, Hughes)
Fifita, Katoa, Fermor (Radley, KPP, Chan)
Hynes (Walker)
Manu, Young, Garrick, Holmes (Talagi, Iro, Salmon)
Drinkwater (Edwards)
Not ideal as I’m now down to 17 this round, not counting Edwards. Would need Cotter, Holmes to both back up. Otherwise I may be forced to reevaluate the Armstrong trade if he stays in the team (current assumption is he’s not playing) Time will tell.

Need to decide if I trade out Smithies or Cotter. Feel like Cotter could be in my final side but think he'll lose cash over the coming weeks and want really put up any decent scores for a while. Smithies may also be injured plus he hasn't really been the same with Mooney in the side.
Both may end up going if i'm honest.

Smithies barely racking up 40s.
Though I also have Lane off the bench and Salmon doing salmon things. All get 40 to 50 on a good day. All need to go really, but trading up is costing 300k each. Salmon will stay due to duals.
Once smithies turned into a yeo/jurbo distributor his scores dropped from 60s to 40s. Was painful to see. He doesn't have an attacking bone in his body...unfortunately. he's just consistent

I have figured out a new transfer plan
What are our thoughts on this boost?
Hynes+smithies+armstrong > j.hughes + fifita+ CNK
Gives me 3 top guns..consistency and upside. With CNK, it'd be give me a sure number for my 17 (instead of playing mikaele) and would mean I won't have to worry about armstrong not coming into my squad on match day.
However.. il have 0 dollars free? Is it worth making a good trade if it means 0 dollars in the bank? That's my concern. I have players to be culled still so hopefully.

So you're telling me you'd bring in a gun (someone consistent) like CNK over carty and money or c.walker instead of j.hughes to save money?
I'd love to get in jahrome and CNK and think they're great player that my gut says. But is my head not thinking right if I have the chance to get in players like cody walker/ carty (have funds left over) instead?

I’ve been trading hard to set up my team early so I don’t have quite as many trades as you do, so now I’m only using trades for injuries or getting in guns e.g. I traded in Api this week instead of Hands to replace Lussick who I feel is a gun and someone I can hold for the rest of the season barring injury.
In your situation, you’ve saved up trades and it’s totally fine if you want to roll the dice on Cartwright/Walker who are both at discounted prices, Walker who has been a gun in seasons gone by, having a underwhelming start to the year but might finally be finding his feet, Carty who is low floor high ceiling but benefiting from the return of Moses.
So in the end, it depends on whether you think Walker + Cartwright can match/out-score Hughes + CNK over multiple weeks and whether the extra cash you save can help you upgrade other positions in your team to keepers or not
