I managed 829 and dropped from 9th the 15th.

I thought taking the C of Max was a brave move but most at the top traded him out altogether.
My logic when I traded him out was pretty much that he is priced at a level consistent with scoring for pole and win - so if I wasn't confident in that (ie Leclerc C) then I may as well go all the way.

Top team is bonkers - very disheartening when first overall also gets team of the week!

Traded Max & RB to Piastri & Ferrari and made LeClerc captain.

Leclerc, Norris, Piastri, Hamilton
Ferrari x2, McLaren, Mercedes

Difficult when you can‘t see the results of final practice before having to lock in your team. Doubt I trade in another Ferrari if I did.

Using Max funds to discard all the “minnows” seemed like a smart play and then 2 RBs & a Williams make Q3 and both Ferraris miss after looking the best car at Monaco. I acknowledge the track difference and how important that is.

Anyway will try and forget about Fantasy this week and just enjoy the race. Looks like an interesting race coming up.

Sometimes being broke works out, couldn't afford to go up to double Ferrari so I went double Mercedes instead, Russell also work out pretty damn well for me! Only LeClerc and not having Max hurting this round but can't complain with 29th for the week!
...and sometimes being rich doesn't. I only went up to another Ferrari because I could afford it with $0 to spare. I thought it was a sign. Should have read it more closely.

Was on holiday so had the benefit of being in a somewhat more favourable timezone. Went haas to Mercedes, still got stung by the Ferraris but having the Merc helped as well as picking the right non-max captain in Lando. Max probably comes back in next race though

If I'm not wrong, first time since Jerez 1997 - and that was 3 drivers with identical times!
That seems slightly dodgy having three cars with the exact same time (to a thousandth of a second) in a race that decides who wins the championship. I do remember the Schumacher collision from that one, but that's about it.
