Not sure that ump Made the correct call there…whilst minimal attempt to keep the ball in play there was a player in the vicinity and he was within the 9 metres as well….bad luck bombers
Annoyed I fell 1.5k short of Caldwell. But I guess Reville and Freijah made some nice cash. Caldwell will be hard to look past next week if I can afford him
We need umpires and it can be a tough no win job. But probably due to another round of changes in "interpretation" of the rules this season, I think the quality of umpiring this season has dropped. At least to my eye. Watching the Bombers/Cats game and free kicks just seem to be a lottery.

Agree there.. the one change I do like this week is the quicker whistle for ball ups…it appears they have that correct…back to the way it used to be umpired in the early 90’s….
faster whistle leads to fewer congested areas on the field…
