Thxs Klo ... Joined and one way to embarrass myself but I shall fight hard ;);)
Don't worry there will be plenty of discussion on players to jump on to maximise cash growth and score from those in the know. Those of us who aren't EPL football mad stay competitive due to the contributors here.

Cookie cutter to begin keeps you there abouts, and then trade for fun & glory.

Good Luck.

Edit: This is a good resource for team selection

Maasten - Villa have a lot of DEF options. Is he nailed? Fixtures don't look good.
Barco - Played last season with Estu out. Is he nailed? Baliba an alternative? Set pieces with Gross gone? BRI have tough fixtures.
Bassey - Starting to look better after a few scotch and cokes. Got 16 against United last season.
Pereira - Big spike potential. Usual back to back. Has got to over $10m in most years. Literally the Elliot Yeo of EPL.
Justin - More expensive, less potential. Good value, but wouldn't double up on LEI DEF as cash cows.
Davis - Unproven, but 18 assists in Championship last season, and that price, ya mad not to take a punt.
Martinez - Subbed last season in games and missed the CS. But shocking misc pts.
Hall - Good if nailed
Livramento - Good if nailed
Milenkovic - Like Martinez, poor misc pts. Loves a card too.
Sugawara - Really like him. Right age. Did well in Eredivisie. Can get attacking returns and misc pts. Looked good in pre-season.
Hardwood-Bellis - Prefer Sugawara, but if funds are an issue, not the worst option.
Thank you very much for the above.

Usually have grabbed Pereira in past seasons but I am concerned about their opening fixtures and clean sheet potential although he should be alright for misc points (if I recall correctly). Not much interest in Gvardiol and I am confident enough in the likes of Nkunku, Smith-Rowe, Kamada/Minteh/Tielemans/etc that ideally on most occasions I would like to field two def early on and thus want to avoid an overspend. If Quanash starts, then I like the selection as it enables Eze and I am expecting Gibbs-White to be a short term rental to chase a negative breakeven in RD3 with a boost used for defenders.

Hall is at a great price point to adjust down which is why he has been a mainstay in most of my iterations. Fixture the main allure for Bassey and one I would rather start than trade into due to a greater confidence in fielding if required.

Thinking i am set with this team. Still undecided on Nkunku against Smith Rowe. Going Smith Rowe gives me Pedro up front. The rest is settled.

Fingers Crossed Sloanke can Match Haaland, over the first 2 weeks.
Nice Team!
I was thinking similar recently. I had Diogo Jota instead of Gordon.
I kept thinking Salah and Jota would do well in early fixtures
I've seen a lot of teams without Haaland

Quansah will start. Slot is looking to play out from the back, and Quansah is better in that area. Whether he's a better DEF is another matter. But Konate was away with France at the Euros, so that could be another factor in Quansah starting. For me, it's too risky given we need 3 games to cash in.

Eze without Olise and Mateta will receive far more attention IMO. I like him, but he's a history of being injury prone.
Not the best option, especially when Havertz will be starting CF, and last season, he averaged 16 in the last 14 games as a CF.

I think Leif Davis needs to be there, given he takes SPs and got 18 assists last season.
The risk of an assist with CS is real after GW3, and that'll see his price spike. Can't see it as good with Bassey or Hall.

Forest were experimenting with SPs during pre-season games. Doesn't mean MGW will lose them, but it's him or TAA / Gvardiol.
I too expect to revert to a 2-5-3 soon, so want at least one premium nailed DEF.
Currently, you're playing roulette with at least 2.

Jota is a machine. He's just injury prone. But his price makes it easy to move to Gordon/Eze, so a good risk. Ride him until he breaks down.

29 teams entered to date.
A reminder to join the SCS EPL RDT Group for those coaches who haven't already done so.

I'm planning to re-instate my GW Roundup for the start of season 24/25 and will continue as long as time permits.
Top performing coaches will be acknowledged as part of my summary so be sure to join the group if you want to be part of the journey.

For those 'new' coaches to SCS, please refer to the link below as a guide of what to expect.

Are you planning to leave the planet in GW2 when Haaland is home to IPS? Probably best you do.
Fingers crossed he blanks GW2. I just couldn't get the balance i wanted with him in the team.
Being a Liverpool Supporter i have to take Salah over Haaland. Spurs have Leicester GW1 followed by Everton, so i am gambling with Solanke.

I also really like Jota at that 7.5 price point. But i think Gordan will get more minutes as Jota is always a sub risk.
