I like your thinking.... Rice for Reed or Collins seems a good choice... I went Collins even so his match up did not thrill me... but consistency and somewhat match up proven swang me his way... re Gesicki... I get it... but TE's scores can be low on any given day and at the price low risk... save that trade is my thought.... Dobbins for Walker I do like but not a necessity... hope that helped Mate:):)(y)
(y) You are right, a trade on Gesicki looks like a wasted trade, it's just his 0pts last week spooked me.

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Optimism from Patrick Mahomes - CBSSports.com

Chiefs' Rashee Rice: Optimism from Patrick Mahomes
By RotoWire Staff

Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes said Wednesday that he hopes Rice (knee) can return soon, Matt Derrick of ChiefsDigest.com reports.

Early concerns about an ACL tear have given way to a more optimistic tone, although Rice has already been ruled out for Week 5 against the Saints and seems likely to miss additional time. He's still in the process of getting multiple doctors' opinions on the injury to figure out a recovery/rehab plan, which means he isn't totally out of the woods in terms of undergoing surgery and/or requiring a long-term absence. Mahomes mentioned WRs Justin Watson and JuJu Smith-Schuster and TE Noah Gray as candidates to take on larger roles while Rice is unavailable.

The NFL stat.s people started recording the speed of players while carrying the ball in 2018.
According to Yahoo Sports, the players who have hit 20mph/32.2kmh the most since then are:
T Hill: 73 times - not unexpected given he is known for his speed, although the 73 total may be a little more than expected
D Henry: 27 times - yes, he's only behind Hill, although a long way behind

The numbers are obviously dependent upon starts and useage but, even so, I an surprised Henry is 2nd.
He is mostly known for running over people, not out-pacing them.
Given he is 74 inch/188 cm tall and 247lb/112kg the running over people is not surprising. He's built.
The speed is surprising - to me, at least.

The fastest NFL player: D K Metcalf at 22.3 mph/35.9 kmh
The AFL has been tracking speeds since 2017.
The top speeds: 37.8 kmh: G Rohan, C Comben; 37.4 kmh: O Markov
As the top speeds of the AFL players aren't limited to when a player is carrying the ball you can't really say that they are faster.

Worthy appears to have the potential to become the fastest player in the future.

Ranking the 10 Fastest NFL Players in 2024: Who's Chasing Tyreek Hill, Xavier Worthy, and De'Von Achane? (profootballnetwork.com)
Xavier Worthy, WR, Kansas City Chiefs turned heads during the pre-draft process by running the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history. His 4.21 40-yard dash beat the previous record (4.22) set by John Ross in 2017.

According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Worthy reached a top speed of 18.45 miles per hour (29.7 km/h) on his touchdown run.

Can someone please advise re AE's. I have Rice injured, Nabers concussion protocol + St Brown on a bye.
Don't want to sell any at this stage.
Does the AE need to come from the WR or lowest scoring bench player please.

Sorry Kazza, it's the lowest scoring bench player in the same position.
I'm in the same sitation with Amon Ra and Kupp on the bench, Nabers on field.
atm I'm tossing up whether to force a trade or not
I'm happy with the 3 I've made - bringing in Dalton/Walker/Reed.
It's a pity I can't wait and see how my team is scoring before deciding on a trade but three of the relevant players have 3.00am games:
any Richardson -> Dalton and Kupp -> Jefferson trades have to be done before then.
As there is no other WR I want it's looking like I'll have a donut.
Thinking long-term, a donut at WR isn't that big a deal if you get the team you want asap.
There are plenty of times during a season when one of your WRs scores <15.

I have now been informed that you can have multiple AE's in your team for each position eg. if 2 running backs are out or score 0 you get an AE for both from your bench in that position. Is that right?

In that if you put the C on a non playing player in your line-up (so you get the VC score) do you then get an AE from the bench for that position
eg: You have 3 x RB's playing with a non playing captain. Does an AE then substitute for the non playing VC so that you have 4 playing RB's.

I hope this is understood. If not I will try to explain again :)

Do you mean for the non playing C?

A bench play will cover a non playing c

The vc will still double

If you have two bench players play and only one 0 the lower of the two counts
