Scored 959 in Round 5 making me jump from 133rd to 65th, and proceeded to do the following trades:
Giannis > Sabonis
Cunningham > Fox
Powell > Miller
Agbaji > Knecht
Lined up as this for last round:
Fox, Harden (McCain)
Miller, Mathurin (Davion Mitchell)
Zubac (Edey)
Wagner, Knecht (Braun)
Sabonis (C), Siakam (Risacher)
All had 4 games and nobody missed a game through injury. Didn't really like the Fox pick but I needed someone to fill an on-field PG spot. Seemed like the best option at the time with the 3 games in Round 8 where most only play 2 and has been in good form. Only 79 in 4 hurt. Sabonis was great as captain, Miller was a little underwhelming, and Knecht was okay.
Ended up with 1007 which saw me slide to 79th.
Trades this week are:
Harden > Monk
Zubac > Jokic
McCain > E.Payton
Trades were centered around grabbing Jokic like most. Zubac obviously the one to go for him. Harden's good fixture run is over so he's gone and it was an X v Y between Monk and Pritchard for his replacement. Went Monk mainly because of his 3 games next week. Didn't really want to sacrifice McCain but it seemed the most logical way to go to fund a couple million. X v Y between Elfrid Payton and Micic for that spot. Obviously the Pelicans have their players returning forcing him out of the rotation, meanwhile Micic is getting an opportunity with LaMelo out. Neither would ever be fielded so I went for the guy who should receive the bigger initial price rise. Didn't expect a whole lot from Payton but just 6 minutes for 1 point was worse than I expected. May have made the wrong choice but still a long way to go. Given Dejounte Murray just shot 2/15 in 38 minutes I'm hoping Payton can get some of his minutes back but I'm not overly optimistic. Murray's shooting 22/81 at 27% on the season so far...
Everyone on a 4, Jokic captain:
