I'm a simple man - I see Salem, I like!

Been wondering about Peirson too but the fact that he becomes a three round hold is just a bit too dicey for me. Would be easier to stomach that with Philippe.

Right now I just have Seifert as my path into the Gades top 3.
Both hands on the wheel please Mike 😋

From The West Australian article re Inglis

Voges also indicated nationally-contracted quicks Lance Morris and Jhye Richardson have not been given the final tick of approval to play.

are CA serious !!!!!

Boland is the spare , Abbott & Doggett are/were with the Test Squad

how many more bowlers do they need in cotton wool in case the Big 3 all get injured at the same time ?

bloody joke

standard OS players in the BBL again and they still believe it is the second best T20 domestic tournament in the world

seriously

let the players actually play
huh

a warning for swearing !!!

for typing b.l.o.o.d.y (without the dots)

The Melbourne Renegades are thrilled to announce the signing of Callum Stow as a Local Replacement Player for BBL|14.

Stow replaces Nathan Lyon who won’t be available for the first half of the Big Bash season due to his international commitments with Australia.

Herbie does this also mean Stow is required to be named in the playing twelve for the club’s first match on Monday night? Thanks.
They said the Sixer guy had to , so I imagine Stow has to as well + the Star guy and Scott (Adelaide)

Jackson probably has to as well , maybe the Tassie guy (he was injury replacement so maybe that's different)

Heat will be interesting as they will have 3 x LRP's + 1 x IRP for Neser so I wonder if they only announce one player initially

Where do we see Jimmy Peirson batting in that Heat lineup? Munro will open. Bryant, Renshaw, and Peirson all options to open alongside him. If they open with Renshaw, then Peirson may slot into No.3? Expecting Alsop to bat at 4.

Munro
Peirson/Bryant/Renshaw
Renshaw/Peirson
Alsop
Bryant/Peirson
"We've got Jimmy Peirson and Max Bryant – we've got options, and we'll work through that in the next few days. One of those two will probably go with 'Munners' (Colin Munro) or that could be three out of our top four or five. Teams that have been successful in the BBL, their keeper bats in the top six and Jimmy can certainly do that … if you want to fit in six bowlers, that becomes an important piece."

It's either Munro and Peirson or Bryant to open. They both could be at 2 and 3 this season although Bryant batted 5 last season and did pretty well - Renshaw likely at 4 and Alsop will be at 5 or 6. I am leaning to Peirson opening with Munners.

My men now get him into the team!!!
Nearly worth a punt as the E if he plays the first game @ the SCG.

Look at his score if it's enough bring in a 🍩 or wait until the second game and if he isn't named take a punt on a Hurricane

Scores not very well just bring in a AS/BH/ST SGR player and hope they outscore him.

Could create some interesting options

So far the LRP's for the Test players are :-

Anlezark for Boland
Scott for Head
Stow for Lyon
Jackson for Marsh
Shaw for Smith

Carey - tbc
Cummins - NA
Hazlewood - NA
Khawaja - tbc
Labuschagne - tbc
McSweeney - tbc
Starc - NA

As far as we know Abbott , Doggett , Inglis & Webster are all still with the Squad

With so many teams without Short, and so many cheapies popping up, I feel like making a gamble having Short in my team again. Any way to find out how much value he loses if he only averages 30 over the 1st 2 rounds?

is it even a thing to just park him on the bench for cash gen? or aside from the floating donut, do all spots need to be onfield options?
