Completely vanished for me , might be my settings though

Will try the search function and hopefully that finds what I need

EDIT : Search function shows it ✓

Shame it gets closed though , lots of valuable information has been posted
It's just closed for new posting now that we have a dedicated In Game Discussion thread, you can go back and revisit all the valuable information which have been posted so all is not lost.

The previous thread is pinned so you can easily get to it without too much fuss.

Just click on SuperCoach on your home page and it should be the 5th thread down from the list (like with all current BBL threads).

Seifert might be worth holding Herb to at least Rd 3. Double Rd 4 aswell
Yeah I think I have outsmarted myself (already after 1 game 😅)

My structure needed 4 Renegades now I am down to 2.

Taking a punt on the Sixers

Seifert worries me , unknown here , Sixers first up and then playing @ Geelong but could very well go boom boom

Is Doran legit a chance to play, thought he was a 100% lock it and throw away the key donut?
I have heard comments that he has been batting well and may be some chance of being selected.

Playing in the final game of R1 might have added to the concern (few/no backups in that scenario), but it appears to be some risk nonetheless.

I was going to that (hopefully low) risk, but no longer see a need to, unless I’m badly mistaken about Shaw.

Question, given i think am going to replace doran with lachie shaw (it would be an absolute disaster for me is Doran was named in the 11 in the last game). I think i read somewhere that replacement players have to be selected in the 12? That would mean Shaw is likely to be 12th man. If there was a concussion sub for example does it have to be the 12th man who comes in? Or can it be a 13th man for example?
Good questions

Doubtful that Doran plays

Chaudhary , David , Jewell/Owen , Hope , McDermott , Wade all ahead of him I would imagine

✓ Shaw has to be in the XII

As per the Game Rules (sorry can't copy and paste them from my phone)

Substitutes that come on & off the field temporarily (i.e. Fielding) don't receive points

Note : Game rules still don't mention concussion subs specifically

Think it was Kelly & Hatzoglou (concussion sub) 2 seasons ago and Hatz didn't get any points.

Team sheets they name 14 , not sure if anyone outside of that can field or be concussion sub if necessary

Practice match this afternoon might help

England's test match due to finish on 18/12 if it goes 5 days, but could just as easily be over today (although there's rain around).

Bethell expected to play on 19/12, but Stars game probably comes too early for Duckett. Is Pope (20/12) expected for Adelaide's next game?
What's Latham thinking ?

370+ lead now

see if KW gets his ton and a 400 run lead

McCullum & Stokes might have a crack at it or does Bazball turn into Boreball 🤗

Chance of knowing the Canes squad before tonight's game?
I was going to use Doran as my C loop (with Siefert) to get Curran's VC score, but I might park him on the bench for now until things get clearer.
Shaw could be problematic in Rd5 & Rd9 as Sixers play the 1st game (they also play 1st in Rd3, but most would have a spare Gade or 2 for looping).

I see Clarke scratch around for 9 deliveries before he got a duck. Is it time to admit defeat and bring in the Sixers assets, or take the failure (cross all fingers and toes)and wait for Inglis on the double RD2

No chance of knowing the Canes squad before tonight’s game. It will be announced on Wednesday which is the day before they play.

Extremely unlikely that Doran makes the XI though. He’s more likely to not even make the squad.

I would think low, the game isn’t until Thursday.

That’s true re their looping draw, albeit it is decent overall.

I think certainty of role/non-selection probably trumps looping draw for me. Draw can be a bit academic if the player is at risk of being selected.

Crazy price since he hasn't played any white ball cricket for England or any other T20 Leagues around the world.
Herbie have you read anything to indicate that Harry Nielsen will be dropped from the team once Ollie Pope arrives?
Surely not after 8 years, Nielsen is like a loyal dedicated fixture as the Strikers WK ?

Do you think Salzmann will get games after this round? Otherwise it is not really worth it. I am looking for A < $75k bowler to get Connolly's score, but not just a donut, one at least has the potential to play in Rd's 2 and onwards.

If I can't get that, then I will have to either downgrade Short, or Abbott, to get a Johnson in, etc
Maybe Perry from the Sixers.

Talked about it on the closed thread.

Paine in a cricket.com.au article said Pope would keep

I will try and search for it to find the date of the article

Keen for another year and off to a good start with Curran, Connolly and Richo. Have to use my WKP loop to get both the bench scores though, so I'm a bit lost with what to do at WKP. Currently leaning towards Seifert with the double and stashing Philippe for his double in round 3. Initially had Doran as the loop, but I'll sleep easier knowing Shaw is less of a chance to play this round. Will then just park him at WKP 2 for the next couple of rounds.

With my bowlers, I currently have the combo of Edwards and Thornton. I would prefer Overton and Buckingham, but due to uncertainty around whether Buckingham will be picked, this is probably the safer combo. In saying that, I'm still pretty happy to have Edwards in there, Overton would just set me up better for next round.

Have thought about trading Sutherland to a RNG bat, but think its still best to back in the all-rounder even if there a slight concerns on how much he will actually bowl.

Any criticism welcome!

Roger that, thanks, sounds pretty definite then and Nielsen is not there for his batting.... could be the end of an era.

Tim dumped by PCB , Harry dumped by the Strikers 😅

Hope he scores a 50 tomorrow night takes 5 catches and they tell Pope to go home

so Pope (bat) and Hosein (bowl) are the best loopers budget permitting? got lucky with cooper and richardson emergencies and like the idea of not forcing salzmann and doran just yet
I'm in the same boat. Have decided to get rid of Overton/Edwards/Brown and bring in Hosein/Chohan/F Allen to bring Connolley/Richardson scores into the 11. But it has made big changes to my team structure. Webster will be my path Overton next round, hopefully he doesn't lose too much value.

How come there hasn't been much talk about Chohan? Only heard of him few days ago but seem to have decent enough figures in recent matches, and the job security shouldn't be a problem being the only leggie in the squad (as far as I know)?

Probably that there's 2 days left and England are going to bat the same if they are chasing 400 or 600?
