Kerr should have a decent role, although I do wonder what happens to Kerr if Abbott comes back for the second game of the round?

Swepson doesn't seem to pick up too may bags of wickets (69 wickets in 76 innings isn't great) and Perth/Brisbane probably won't spin a lot.

Does Siddle play both games for the Stars? Paris might be another option, but I'm not sure you can rely on the fact he'll bowl 4 overs, even if he does play.
Plenty of room for Kerr in their best team IMO ...
- Shaw, Davies or Murphy etc can make way ..

I’ve a basic question folks. If one of my batters in the 11 is a non-starter (gades), will the flex bowler’s points (Boyce) come into play?
No the player on your batting bench with the E on him joins your 12 scorers, then you get the best 11 of those 12.
The Flex is always in play, always! He doesn't need you to be missing a player to come into your scoring!

I would say Siddle, who I am currently bringing in.

Not overly sure about Swepson’s quality or Kerr’s JS/role, but either could work if things go their way.
Kerr for me ...
- should bowl but lower than I'd like in the batting order ...

Cheers for the responses Darkie & the 2 coaches currently in the top 5 overall. Well done to you two btw.

Thanks mate for clarifying. My emergencies are also gades players. Apparently, I am dependent on the flex player as the 11th starting player. But you’ve said flex player is anyway in play, so I’ll take it as 11th player 👍

Torn with how to play this round, essentially either trading out next rounds assets or jumping off Scorchers and backing in a few more of that 100-120K range.

Last rounds strategy backfired massively in hindsight and feel like I'm in a bit of trouble structurally now.

If you can
Richardson > Mir
Morris > Johnson
Weatherald > Edwards
Allen > McSweeney

Bartlett and Walter vs Maxwell and McSweeney.. any thoughts?
Bartlett and Walter.

Walter and Maxwell both with the juicy all-rounder role but I feel Bartlett edges out McSweeney as the number 1 bowler at the Heat over the bat only role for McSweeney

Also wary of a somewhat rusty Maxwell. He is a freak though as we all know.

I would trade Jhye, Morris, Allen and McKenzie.

Would target a couple of Sixers and a couple of Heat players.

Edwards and Renshaw for a start. Then best two available with your remaining cash.

Haven't quite got the cash to carry 2 more 120K options with these trade outs, would have to pick a Hayden Kerr and hope the role is sound and he actually plays both games.

Yeah, less concerned about whether he makes the team, but more concerned about his likelihood to bowl 4 overs with Abbott there.
Hes definitely a guy who I can just as easily see scoring 5 as 100+ over the double, probably isn't batting before 8 with how well Dwarsh is hitting them and theyll have 6 bowlers in their XI.

currently deciding between Maxwell and Bartlett.

leaning towards Bartlett as I would have a good backup captain option instead of being stuck with Johnson C if my vc fails in the first game. Any thoughts more than welcome

Boxing Day test - Good luck folks. Even before the 1st ball is being bowled, I have my doubts on the selection. Picking a spinner over a specialist bat doesn’t feel right. Fingers crossed. Enjoy the Boxing Day. Exciting 1st day of test, double header bbl and some 8 odd games for epl. That’s a bonanza.
