I'm most willing to go against the guys that have played one game collectively in the last 2 months, if they burn me then so be it. Does the 50k get you anything else with your trades?

I already own Hosein but I don't think I'd be that keen on him if I didn't, 195k is a lot to pay for a spinner batting 10. SCG is a nice ground for him but Gabba could be anything.
The 50k would help bring Short back and gets me Sutherland. But then again I could just trade Bartlett/Hosein next round to afford my targeted trades. Lol seems like Bartlett is the only must have from that group of 4 from there.

I think I've landed on this by going,
Short -> Bartlett
Richardson -> Dwarshius
Milne -> Walter
McKenzie -> Scott

Basically getting rid of all my deadwood whilst getting nearly all the big targets this week. Willing to go against Maxwell, if he burns me then so be it but with the amount of doubles I have I think I can make up for it if he does.

That’s an impressive team to have this early

Currently:
Out: Sutherland, Connolly, Tye and Richardson
In: Hosein, Dwarshuis, Johnson and Walter

Targets for next round are a returning Rogers along with M Short. Prefer to keep Sutherland as it becomes too hard bringing him back and affording the others. No one else particularly of interest from the Strikers or Renegades and will be hoping to have around 6-8 on the double in RD4.
Scratched the Sutherland trade out option with the difficulty of funding Short, Sutherland and Rogers in next round with no boosts.

Out: Behrendorff, Connolly, Abbott and Richardson
In: Kerr, Hosein, Dwarshuis and Walter

Ideally an even 3-3 mix between Sixers and Heat with one top four batter, a bowler and all rounder (6-8 and 2-4 overs). Would mean Johnson and Behrendorff over Tye and Dwarshuis.

Do you have a pivot if Kerr isn’t named or role doesn’t look to be as good as previous?

Much like Short last round, feels a better mix if you fade Maxwell as risky as that is
His upside is unbelievable but he’s batting at 4 and may not bowl, and if he does bowl 1-2. It’ll be a terrifying fade but I think it’s justified as you’re really buying what his best can produce and with the injury and form recently, it’s a tough sell.

Watch him come out and triple ton now!

Yeah 100%. And much like you I think Bartlett and Tall Paul as a combination is better than Maxwell and Mcsweeney. Other issue is with Maxy, if you take him and VC and he fails. Then relying on a Cheaper heat guy as the fall back C. I’d rather go Edward’s/Dwarshuis/Curran as VC with Bartlett to fall back on I think

IMO Short batting higher and bowling more overs is probably a more terrifying fade!

I considering it... you can argue that with the Sixers and Thunder stacked with right handers at the top of the order (barring Davey), Maxwell is less likely to bowl. So it comes down to how many runs he's going to score.

Yeah well 236k for maybe a bat only this round isn’t a great buy if that’s how it pans out

Yeah, the problem is that there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason as to how Stoinis deploys the bowlers. Even if the Stars named 2 spinners, I still wouldn't be confident Maxy doesn't bowl!

Thinking of rolling out something like this, Hard to pass up owen as this round would be my first boost usage, so should be able to get rid of him easily enough later on.

Short, Zampa, Connolly, Jhye -> Mcsweeney, Bartlett, Hosein, Owen

Not a big fan of doubling up heat specialist bats, so maybe a phillipe type comes in instead of mcsweeney. Have about 147k to play with for that slot. if anyone has ideas.

The super whelming Turner/Bazley loop isn't ideal, will probably swap bazley and owen around as at least owen will open the batting.

Make sure you have Overton in the bowlers so you can put Sutherland into the bowlers if Turner fails
