Too much effort needed to exert to appeal whereas berating your teammate for the attempt is far less taxing and a much more efficient use. Missing a second or third set of stumps warrants an appeal, caught plumb in front of the stumps warrants a review, clearly run out then do not bother about it and why would you ever bother attempting a throw at that end since a ricochet could allow an extra run.

Therein lies the issue for sports as they wish to maintain a fast product especially in the instance of T20 cricket but they seem to be veering further and further away from it and an unhealthy dependence that technology is the solution to all problems and that will not create further issues, see VAR, etc.

This night could not have gone any worse. The problem with relying on doubles as a strategy? When the Stars have the first double. You follow those losers through. And regretting trusting Maxwell big time. That shot had shades of Rishabh Pant today in dumbness.

I feel like I’m having an absolute shocker, and that may be true, but I just had a look at some of my leagues and reached a similar conclusion. Perhaps I’ll be 100-200 behind par rather than 300+.

I would just like to put this out into the universe as well. Desperately need at least a 3fa from Captain Bartlett and for Johnson to have a quiet one.

I felt the same but a lot of the shockers are popular, and the Max VCers are back to the pack a little more now. Before tonight I thought this round was catastrophic but now maybe just bleak. A lot hinges on Bartlett though!
