Rank = 322

Maxy threw away chances to really hurt non-owners with the way the round unfolded. Traded him in expecting at least 100 (hoping 150+) so 77 was well short of the mark!
Got lucky with Philippe adding almost 100 after he should've been caught so hopefully that takes me from a par score to above par for the round.

Absolute shocker with 741 (Bartlett).

Not a lot went right even though I went in with high hopes with 9 DGR players.

Edwards - VC disaster. Injured with a poor score and forced me into a Heat C
Dwarsh - shining light
Hosein - disappointing for his price
Stoinis - meh
Curran - injured but popular so meh
Harper - first time I decide to just field him and he flops hard
Bartlett - another disaster at his price and got the C band. Feel like he was unlucky tonight and with a better score to defend could have scraped an ok score. Just wasn’t to be.
Banton - 1 run off something useful but definitely flopped
Walter - decent but popular so meh

Overton great, Connolly losing his overs hurt. Overall just a bitter round when my X v Y decisions mean I went Banton over Philippe, Bartlett over Johnson and passed on Kerr to field Harper.

3 rounds in and it’s a bleak season after a great round 1. It’s a volatile beast this game..

Saved by Flip , Harry Hindsight says why didn't I VC him ?

Think I have seen a few post they wished they had 4-5 different VC's this round , geez Louise make a decision and own it

942 Walter

Flip 198 ✓
Dwarshuis 148 ✓
Overton 131 ✓

Renshaw 77
Walter 76 x 2
Hosein 63 😢
Stoinis 51 everyone owns
Peirson 45
Curran 39 (1) everyone owns
Harper 26 everyone owns
Edwards 12 (1) everyone owns

Now have cash problems and deadwood to deal with

Won't be able to get both Short and Sutherland

Also need to think if I go 5 Thunder for Round 6 , who are the 6 best SGR options and if I don't have them now , how do I get them in

Round 4 - bring in AS & MR
Round 5 - bring in ST + spare
Round 6 - bring in ST

Doubt Weatherald returns and wouldn't surprise me if the Strikers (1-3) drop Boyce and try something different, so possible loose them for Round 4 DGR

Figure it all out tomorrow

1042 Walter

Dwarshuis 102 (148)
Kerr 69 (104)
Walter C 51x2 (76x2)
Peirson 34 (45)
Johnson 15 (163)
Renshaw 11 (77)
Edwards DNP

Dwarshuis and Kerr excellent. Edwards not playing this one probably helped me as he had a very high ownership anyway, and it allowed these 2, Kerr in particular, to get better overs. Walter solid. At the end of the day him, Maxi, and Bartlett were the main 3 captains and all did poorly so no significant damage. Peirson poor, one of the worst 24s I’ve seen in a while. Johnson and Renshaw quiet after big games in game 1.

Think I’m well above par so hopefully I get a healthy jump in the rankings.
Up 335 spots to exactly 100th. Can’t say I expected THAT big of a jump!

Scratched the Sutherland trade out option with the difficulty of funding Short, Sutherland and Rogers in next round with no boosts.

Out: Behrendorff, Connolly, Abbott and Richardson
In: Kerr, Hosein, Dwarshuis and Walter

Ideally an even 3-3 mix between Sixers and Heat with one top four batter, a bowler and all rounder (6-8 and 2-4 overs). Would mean Johnson and Behrendorff over Tye and Dwarshuis.
Only a one point difference between the Tye and Dwarshuis and Johnson and Behrendorff combo. If I had entertained my usual Bat, AR and Bowl mix from each double side at the expense of Hosein then I may have been able to fully capitalise on no Short last round and no Maxwell and Bartlett this round. Also missed out on my usual Philippe selection for the Sixers batting exposure with too much confidence in Edwards to be the avenue into their batters. Best I not look into the points difference of Philippe and Johnson (C) over Kerr, Hosein and Walter (C) but very unlikely I would have given much consideration to that alternative anyway.

Solid score considering I kept all my Renegades and the Walter captaincy selection along with missed games from Curran and Edwards (VC)

Boosts all gone and trades likely to be:
Out: Hosein, Walter/Edwards and Curran
In: Short, Rogers and ?/loop

Ideally loop Bazley with Kerr via loophole.
