One thing I’ve noticed - admittedly somewhat based on other forums - is that a lot of people are trading out a lot of all rounders.

I recognize that there are specific reasons to trade some of them, but I found it notable, partly because it’s the exact opposite of what I have been trying to do!
fwiw, I ran pretty much an entire team of all rounders in rd3 and did awful.

Literally Maxwell, Short, Overton, Walter, Edwards, Curran, Connolly, Stoinis. Essentially the who’s who of great roles😭

Thanks for that, you make some good points re; forward planning. I've boosted to move on Boyce early (or maybe Bazley?) for McGurk which leaves me with 6 Adelaide but still have 12 DGRs this round. Switched from trading out Renshaw to Wood which leaves me only 2 bench doughnuts in Doran & Whitney. 6 trades should be enough to trade out the Strikers I that don't want for the Thunder I do want. Obviously there will be a downgrade in there somewhere. Still have 20k bank after those changes. I do like having a loop on each line available.

Round 6 could provide some hurdles with people having to many Strikers and other donuts.

Trying to hold onto SGR premiums and still trying to get higher priced Thunder premiums could be a issue.

I certainly look like facing a issue with low priced players with high BE's needing to be traded out after Round 4 , might need to get very creative in my trades.

Hopefully the Thunder are clear in Ferguson's (and Rutherford's) availability for Round 6 and not tell us after their first game of the round.

Once I can lock in my Round 4 trades will start working on Round 5 & 6 options

Very true, it doesn’t always work.

Some teams would have had most of those guys due to chasing doubles, though, and could have had guys like Hosein, Bartlett and so on who also went low.

I reckon I’d back your team over one with a whole lot of guys like Zampa, KRicho, Weatherald etc in R5 and beyond. [I actually have all those guys, but am planning to exit them ASAP after R4, and don’t have too many middling Gades/Strikers just because of the double.]

First time player and have fared fairly well so far. The decisions I’m kicking myself over was trading in Maxwell this round, fielding an overpriced JFM in round one and neglecting to replace Neser prior to round one. I have decided to trade in the Rooster this round for what seems to be a bargain price as I think he is due for a score along with Bethel. Rogers has been a consistent performer whic I hope can pay dividends.

My biggest problem with the Thunder and Canes doubles coming up, is there aren't too many locks I'm chasing.

There's no one with the plumb allrounder role and the like of Sams are hit and miss at best. Leaves bowlers and while Ferguson is probably the one we'll all have, maybe Agar is the other one if he holds his death role. Ellis for the Canes is probably the bowler, but there's not a lot else there.

The bats are hit and miss for both teams, which makes it hard to get anyone with any reliability. McDermott probably the guy from the Canes, but batting 4 isn't ideal. Sangha at three with some overs would be interesting, but has injury worries.

Will back in Fraser-McGurk this round. Would be annoying to miss out, he's due and that 'logic' worked for Phillipe last round!
I have no faith in him to go big... but I'm seriously thinking of doing the same! I'm also going to the game tonight, so adds some further interest!

Having the Stars next round means he could also double up!

Get a better idea after tonight re their new prices & BE's.

Just need a quick exit plan if they go pear shaped on the DGR.

Clarity on Ferguson would be nice

Rutherford could be $ 60k so might worth a gamble

Sams

Billings

Bancroft & Green can be up and down

Ellis and Jordan from the Canes

David cheap enough to carry for a few rounds then field on their DGR.

Maybe 8 SGR premiums + 3 Thunder (then 3 Hurricanes) is a better mix.

Everything will depend on available cash and who we trade and who we keep

The good thing about the Thunder double is that it's done before the Stars/Sixers game. Can afford to take a couple of risks and know what the result is with a game to play to rectify the situation.

And Strikers on the Bye

Hello Rutherford and Thunder bowler.

Think a few years ago Miller dropped about a $ 100k then pumped out a 100+ on a DGR
