Probably only one good DGR pick off at least getting back to par. Unfortunately the flow on effects from last round cost me a look at Rogers, and then after the M Short news went the wrong way to D Short. Considered Lynn but Doggett was never in my thinking!

Needed more from Pope & Pope to give me hope (and based on ownership figures Boyce & Weatherald)

Loaded up on DGR players (9) , tried something and didn't quite work out the way I wanted

oh well on to Round 5 we go

I don’t like being upset with what looks to be a strong round, but the renegades really do annoy me with how they use their team. Probably missed out on another 50+ bowling points from Bethell this game and potentially a lot more in game 1 where he wasn’t bowled at all.

Fortunately, his efforts this game may result in further bowling moving forward, so I shall be holding him for the time being.

Seifert will be moved along at a potential loss after a good first two rounds of owning him.

Rogers, Brown, Thornton and Zampa all acquitting themselves well to off-set the premiums that underperformed.

Game 1: 0/112; Zampa, Chief (v), Brown, O’Neill (excluded)
Game 2: 0/156; Doggett, Thornton, Overton (c)
Game 3: 2/43; Kerr, Dwarshius, Edwards (bench), Shaw (bench)
Game 4: 3/96; Maxwell, Banton, Walter, Stoinis (bench), Renshaw (bench), McKenzie (bench)
Game 5: 6/502; Thornton, Brown, Doggett, Overton (c), Sutherland, Zampa, O’Neill (excluded)

I was hopeful with Brown and Doggett I might make some ground this round but unfortunately my score looks no better than average.

Philippe’s 36 the 12th man.

The round of the BAT only selections, highlighted by Lynn and Finn Allen.

Trades:
Banton > Philippe (cash gen)
Connolly > Lynn
Davies > K Richardson
Bartlett > Rogers

Disappointed that I traded Bartlett but realistically was never going to hold him. Looking forward to the freedom of the single game weeks!

How many thunder should I be aiming for realistically… is it worth trying to use all my trades and getting them?
Yeah that's the million dollar question!

Away to Perth next round, so you might not want to play too many of them. Then 3 trades for the DGR (or 4 if you can boost). If you can get 1 in next round, you'll give yourself some flexibility for the DGR.

Stoinis 96
Johnson 51
Walter 23
Dwarshuis 19

Currently Ollie Pope dropping out (or Lynn, take your pick) with 1. Ideally Dwarshuis ends up dropping out.

Stoinis excellent. Has had starts all year but has failed to reach anything of substance until now. Johnson bowled well. Walter’s role is nowhere near as good being the 6th bowler, will try to move him on especially if that Co*** Harbour game looks to be weather affected. Dwarshuis didn’t manage to take a wicket, a quick 20 at the end there would’ve been amazing but it wasn’t to be.

Lynn 123 (124)
Thornton 106 (153)
Overton C 68x2 (71x2)
Bethell 67 (69)
Rogers 64 (130)
Zampa 60 (103)
O.Pope 47 (48)
Sutherland 24 (66)

Lynn with a great knock today. Was well underpriced on what he ‘could’ do, but hadn’t shown any form whatsoever and his dismissal against Perth in game 1 was shocking. Took the punt, paid off. Thornton, Overton and Rogers all great with the ball. Bethell’s role was much better today, a little unlucky to not pick up 1-2 more (LBW/dropped catch) but hopefully the Renegades use him a bit more now. Zampa continuing to bowl in the surge again. Don’t like it, but it paid off this time. Pope with lots of points keeping, got demoted from the opening spot this game. Sutherland no good.

This time last night I was looking at getting below par, by a sizeable amount too. Now I should get a pretty nice jump. Didn’t expect a whole lot tonight with the 2 teams on the double facing each other but I got very lucky with the points distribution.

905 (Overton) - O'Neill carrying the drinks
19 SI (47.6 average v 54.5 season) - PSI has decreased every round from 64.1 in Round 1.

My trade ins of Billings (40), OPope (48) & O'Neil (12th man) didn't exactly add to my DGR scoring output considering 65/88 came from catches and stumping.

Great to finally see Bethell get the role I picked him for. A little disappointed that I got too greedy and didn’t lock in Rogers VC score. Overall, tonight’s players really turned it around from their first game and saved my round from complete disaster.
