Serious question... If DC is named, how viable do we think he is?

Thunder could easily go in with a top six of Warner, Nikitaras, Gilkes, Davies, Billings and Rutherford. Won't get many overs out of them!
That is a really good question and I don't know the answer.

I have seen some posts about his batting form (albeit in grade cricket), there are lots of questions, is he just a break glass option (are the thunder with out Bancroft and Sams at that point?).

If he is named and you need a cheap option, he may be worth a shot (may need to be looped), but I really don't know, so not much good to you...
If he is named in the XI over a bowler such as Hatcher then he looks somewhat viable but if he’s there in addition to five bowlers then he doesn’t look particularly appealing, especially with Konstas expected for the second game of their double this round.
Think this is the conclusion I've come to as well. Can play him as a fifth bowler but not a sixth.

If they line up anything like you've suggested I think I'd throw the VC on Green!

See above posts for Dan Christian discussion.

I'm most likely lining up as above after doing;
Overton -> Ferguson
Thornton -> Green
Harper -> Seifert

Would ideally grab one of Wade or McDermott instead of Seifert but due to weather I think I'll go with the latter. I can reverse Harper back in for Pope if Seifert drops a poor one.

Can loop Sutherland/have him as backup for Chaudhary if the canes game doesn't go ahead, same as Zampa for Jordan although he'll just be backup.

Seeing some conflicting reports, Re Overton.

What round are we expecting he departs?
Depends if they fly back to the UK to join the Squad (departing Jan 17) or fly direct to India from Australia.

Expect he plays Saturday , game on the 15th might be up in the air.

Understand Honeyball reported he only misses Round 9.

Apart from Green and Warner (for BE and role) the rest of the Thunder aren't that exciting to me - Although I already own Agar and Green.

I may follow some of the other trends here and try and fade the majority of the Thunder (except Warner) - Especially with weather in play for the second Thunder game.

As the weather seems to be a big factor here, it might almost be best to treat this as a SGR for the Thunder, with maybe one more player, just in case Wednesday night goes ahead.

Apart from Warner, Agar, and Green, and maybe Billings, as mentioned above, there really is no one else exciting to choose from. I'd almost be tempted to stick an E on one/two of the Thunder players, and re-assess closer to Wednesday, if you keep a trade up your sleeve

Agreed with everything said. The only 2 I was even considering was Ferguson and Warner that I don't own - Warner has the most chance of 2 bites if a game is squeezed in on Wednesday.

Might be worth holding trades in general for the round as it flows!

No idea to be honest

Season completely shot after last round , confidence is all gone

Curran - > Green seems the obvious on
Thornton - > ?
? - > ?

Which Thunder "nuffie" out performs themselves in the DGR ?

Does Warner still have the reflexes to cope with Bartlett & Johnson ?

After that no idea , might let my 9yo nephew decide

Fairly comprehensive on the Test players availability

Might need to be pinned somewhere/somehow so it doesn't get lost

No mention of Abbott (who you'd think would be round 6), but for the others:

Richardson - Round 6
Marsh - Needs clearance for round 6, definitely round 7
Webster - Round 6
Smith - A chance for round 6, definitely round 7
Konstas - Round 6, game 2
Marnus - Round 7
Khawaja - Round 7
Carey - Round 7
Lyon - Round 7

Cummins, Starc, Hazelwood, Boland, Head all considering varying degrees of unlikely.
