Update from 10 mins from Homebush:

Having conducted a thorough meteorological survey (I looked out the window), I have determined the rain has just started again after 2 hours of no rain. It isn't very heavy, but the radar suggests more might be coming. I'll post another update at 6 30odd when my mate gets to the ground.

Great intel.

If I need to check if it's raining I walk outside and just hope it isn't a flock of birds flying above if I do get wet 😀

Not sure the suggested time the rain will clear is accurate, not even sure about the ones I posted, need a ground visual, if it's raining or drizzling, there'll be a delay and lockout.

10 mins fom Homebush update: Steady rain, report of the same from the ground. I think the assessment above is correct.

I think I will reverse trade on Owen to Abbott, and bench David at this stage. Stuck with the Thunder guys.

I’m going to operate off the assumption there will be no cricket tonight. Doesn’t look promising and it feels like with the volume of rain it’s not going to dry soon enough for them to get things ready in time for a meaningful game.

My mate at the ground just spoke to Stuart Clark (yes, that Stuart Clark). Stuart Clark has said the pitch and outfield are fine, and they will.play if the rain stops. It is still raining consistently atm though.
