9mm of rain monday night and only 1mm of rain during the day yesterday,
No rain was recorded after 5pm Mon (considering up to 40mm was predicted)
Started raining again around 4.30am - 3mm to date. No rain was recorded in the last hour,
I would say the ground is ok at the moment
Hopefully a similar pattern to yesterday no rain after 5pm

It should be better than that ground, there is a lot more professional sport at Homebush.
I live 10 mins from the ground. I will provide weather updates on here later this evening as the game.gets closer. Currently, it is raining at a moderate level. It has been on and off all day, though as mentioned above, the last two hours have been the worst of the day so far. You wouldn't play in this currently, but nor should it flood the ground ridiculously either.

Update from 10 mins away from Homebush:
Rain has eased considerably atm to almost non-existent (they would definitely play through this), and the local cricket ground is in pretty good nick. The question is really whether more comes, which as others have suggested, is definitely possible according to the radar. I wouldn't be betting on either outcome at this stage. Will update again closer. I have also got a mate getting to the ground at 6 30 who will update me on the ground condition.

Update from 10 mins from Homebush:
Having conducted a thorough meteorological survey (I looked out the window), I have determined the rain has just started again after 2 hours of no rain. It isn't very heavy, but the radar suggests more might be coming. I'll post another update at 6 30odd when my mate gets to the ground.
