Large slice of luck for me with this rain. Will diminish the gains of those with a lot of Thunder players. Hard luck to those coaches.
However, I have fluffed my captain call with new recruit Hardie not taking advantage as well as I’d hoped. That said, I was able to keep Overton as a result of getting him, so may see a better return in round 7.

I am tempted to keep Agar as E just in case 😀

Would like to move Billings on but probably have other fires to put out first.
Probably have 3 Sixers and Turner for Saturday so that might cause problems as well.

How does it work in terms of cash and BE? For example Agar had a BE of 168 based on him playing 2 games this round but he only played 1. Will they adjust the BE to reflect what it should have been if this was a SGR, or does the large BE stand and he will lose significant cash from there being no second game?

5/626 9SI (didn’t include Bethell’s 3) - assuming, well… hoping(!) we get at least some play tomorrow. So I have those players as “still to play”

Sutherland went berserk. Bittersweet as I gave some thought into captaining him, especially after Green scored a 10 as VC. Instead opted for the extra look before falling back into a Stars/Sixers asset. Rogers with an outstanding contribution from the bat along with good bowling points. That is now my 4th 49 (along with a Stoinis 48) in the space of 5 games, but Rogers doesn’t get the spray due to him being a bowler and missing it due to the game finishing
. Can’t say the time I expected Zampa to do something would be against the Scorchers on a seam friendly Optus pitch. Happy to be proven wrong there. Was tossing up between Allen, Ferguson, and a Hurricane for that 3rd trade in, but when Hurst was dropped from the squad and Allen became the only keeper in the squad, he came in. The dreaded 19 today but the 3 catches to bring his score to a solid 49. Best bowling attack to keep to. Bethell disappointing. Didn’t bowl much on this pitch as expected. No fielding involvements and a poor shot on the last ball of the powerplay led to his downfall.

Well that’s a shame. Would likely have benefitted from play today. Happy I didn’t overcommit and go for 5-6 Thunder, although 1 of them would’ve been Ferguson.
Stoinis and Edwards to come. One of these 2 will be captain. Wait for the teams to come out and see if Stoinis should get a bowl. Ideally we know beforehand if Webster is allowed to bowl or not. Even if there’s no official word maybe someone who is going to the game can see if he is bowling in the warmups? The squad for the Sri Lanka tour is supposed to get announced tomorrow so that should give a fair indication anyway.
