Have been quietly playing NFL RDT for the first time this season. Wasn’t overly invested in the sport prior to this season so I spent a bit of time reading various things in the preseason and got a lot of handy tips through posts here. Thanks to all those who provided information. Remarkably I managed to finish hot and snag a top 10 round rank in the final round of the season to finish in 29th. Trade in and captaincy on Gibbs was good viewing on a Monday morning to finish the season!

Excellent effort and fantastic to hear.

Gives some more credence to my hypothesis regarding new formats. :geek:

One player to watch for next year is Cam Skatabo.
A RB for Arizona State who was 5th in the Heisman, his final game as a college student was quite remarkable.
30 carries - 143 yds - 2 TDs; 1 x 2pt conversion
8 receipts - 99 yds
1 pass - 42yd TD

This was against a team, Texas State, ranked by Fox as the 4th best defence in the country.
Texas had given up an average of 14.5 ppg and 277.9 ypg. [They'd allowed only one 100+ yd rusher.]
Skatabo's involvement in his team's offense beat that average - if you include his TD pass - 20 points and 284 yds.

There are knocks on him so he's not ranked as highly as you might think: he's not super fast, he's not explosive, he can fumble, he's such a phusical runner he's an injury waiting to happen.
He's currently ranked between #8 - #15 in RB draft rankings and, on that projection, he's unlikely to be drafted early.
Let's hope when he is drafted he goes to an NFL team who values him.

Watched him recently in one of the million Bowl games that seem to be happening lately.

Looked effective, so I researched his draft status. Safe to say, NFL scouts don't seem as high on him as I'd've expected. Could be a later round snag for someone.

Apparently, he thinks he should've won the Heisman. Doesn't lack for confidence, anyway :ROFLMAO:

Some insane plays in this game, Chargers imploding
Just not the Chargers day.
Herbert threw 4 Int.s after having only 3 in the regular season.
And Houston even managed to get the 2-points from a blocked PAT return!
A fairly rare occurrence but it happens: Philly did it against TB earlier in the season.

Houston deserves credit for the way they played... Herbert chocked... but Houston done Awesome... I was impressed with the last 3 quarters.... chargers looked great first quarter.... after that it was woeful.... which made it a borrowing game somewhat
Ravens were never threatened at any stage and deserved to win
just my view... opinions will differ ;);)

I doubt it would have made any difference to the Vikings loss as to where it was played. Last week was a confidence downer. This week the OL played horrible and saw Darnold destroyed repeatedly early on which completely killed any confidence he had. You could see it in his face. He looked like a rabbit in the headlights. Credit to the Rams though. They played fantastic and McVay has the wood on O'Connell at the moment. As Troy Aikman said in the broadcast - a 14/3 season doesn't mean much unless you do something with it in the post season.

Darnold did okay in the H/A season and you cannot take that away from him but it was a pity JJ McCarthy got injured. I would have preferred to see him start and develop through the season. Like we found out with Cousins if you cannot win the clutch games you are not the right guy so I think Darnold will get moved on. These last two games were his chance to be taken seriously and get a ticket to the big time but it didn't happen.

Probably big changes in the off season now. New QB. The OL will get some beefing up. Flores will probably not be there as he gets an HC role somewhere, which will be a big loss for the defense.

Both Washington and Detroit were the big improvers and it's really nice to see Washington doing so well after trading away a decent amount of their stars in the previous season for draft picks.

Ekeler probably wouldn't have thought he'd be playing this deep into the season.
