Like the set up, quite different from other drafts.
Tupou - great starting run if he nabs the wing position.
Howarth - was looking at him but don't love his opening draw. Bye, Panthers and Manly away in the first 5.
Burton - soft opening draw, 7% ownership, good pod pick.
Weekes - another decent pod pick at 5%, just wondering if you could toss in Metcalf and see similar returns whilst saving 90k.
Hynes - great price, okay draw, someone I definitely want to get in by round 7.
Hopgood & Bateman - good low ownership picks, Hopgood 3-4 points undervalued while I actually think Cowboys have the worst draw for the first 5 games so I've been avoiding them.
JFH - in my team right now, think he plays bigger mins at the warriors, average shoots up to 67.6 in games he played over 50 mins in 2024, 57.4 in over 50 mins in 2023 and 57.2 in over 50 mins in 2022 so there's some value there but could be a season keeper if he gets AFB levels of gametime at the warriors.
Thank you. Want an avenue into the Dolphins and Dogs early on so playing around with Tupou/Isaako/Gilbert and Burton/Kiraz, etc. Yet to have an extensive look into Howarth or similarly priced options so a placeholder for Storm representation. 5/8 very difficult with cases to be made for Doueihi/Metcalf/Talaigi/ Walker/Munster/Brown and so on as well. The likes of Carrigan and I Papali’i could replace Hopgood and Bateman.

With Fonua-Blake leaving for the Sharks and Harris retiring, I wanted a piece of the NZ front row. Owned both Barnett and Ford last year from memory and as you have raised Fisher-Harris could be underpriced given the difference of structure and rotations compared to his time at the Panthers.

Will be very intriguing to see how the flex is used as I gather it will likely be occupied by a fullback but the 3rd gun (I.e Walsh/Mitchell/etc) or Iongi looks to be very difficult to settle on.

Personally think it doesn’t matter as much whichever option you choose. Say Iongi averages 50-60, you save 600k on another gun FLB but lose about 30 points per week compared to others running 3 guns. However if you use the extra 600k wisely, you’ll be able to make up those 30ish points or even exceed it depending on how you upgrade the rest of your team.

Currently running 3 gun fullbacks but nothing set in stone as of yet, Turbo & Walsh locked in for me whilst the third position could be Ponga/Iongi. Walshy feels like he has the best draw amongst fullbacks for the first 5 Roosters (A), Raiders (A), Cowboys (H), Dolphins (H), Tigers (H) so I’m just going off that.

Basically the SC gods saying "You'll pick Terrell May and you'll enjoy it". With Haas and Tino coming off injuries, Tapine being a slow starter and AFB being in a new team, Barnett is the only other gun FRF option. Might have to start looking at someone like Ford to fill in that second front row spot or hope one of Horse,Whyte or Clark get a starting/big mins role in their sides.

Top 10 most owned FRFs amongst all coaches so far

Anyone interested in Nat Butcher. Think he gets the 11 jersey. Priced at a 56.5, averaged 66.7 in games over 65 mins last year currently at 0% ownership. Just not sure about the roosters bench, assuming that they have 2 middle forwards, 1 edge and a utility on their bench, do you guys reckon he can get those minutes? Feels like a better option than Ipap to be honest in terms of job security

SuperCoach NRL Pro/Rel leagues:

Hi all, as per an earlier post, I am looking to set up pro/rel leagues for NRL for the 2025 season (and beyond). I am looking to start with three leagues, which I will allocate pending past results in the competition. The exact number of teams in each league and number of teams promoted/relegated will depend on the interest - I will publish this information in mid Feb after interest has been assessed. I will also create a separate thread for these leagues.

Please complete the Google form below by Sunday 16th February if you are interested. At this time, I will distribute league codes to join. It would be great to have structured NRL Supercoach leagues and see what impact we can make on SuperCoach, in the same way this site does with the AFL and BBL.

Any questions, please ask. Thank you to the leadership group for letting me give this a go.
