You'd be amazed how quickly those citizenship rules can find exceptions if you're an exceptional athlete 
Has to be the most disappointing Boomers generation of my life. We had Bogut, Kyrie and Simmons all taken first overall in a ~10 year window on top of Mills, Ingles and a bunch of other really solid role players and unfortunately Bogut burned out, we pushed Kyrie away and Simmons went full blown potato while refusing to play for us.
The current group is looking exciting though which is great.
