My older brother regularly played with dodgy shoulders. I remember the trainers coming onto ground and regularly popping them back in. Not fun, but who knows Gazza could play on in a week or two if he can hack a bit of pain and discomfort. I think my bro had two dodgy shoulder joints. Nick Holland of Hawks used to have that too. Probably harder for Gazza as he never done it before. I reckon he'll miss 3 games myself. Suns have 3 easier games I think coming up that maybe that is best way for Gold Coast to give their season good chance of still staying on track. Surgery probably means out for 6 or more weeks which will certainly hurt them a lot more.

Possible for gaz to miss 2 weeks and be back after the split round when they play in the second week of it

Even if Gaz plays with the sore shoulder will he still be able to score to his potential? Opposition will be testing his shoulder by giving it a good whack.

Heads about to explode deciding my trades this week.
6 trades left really got to make sure the players are right and keep coverage in mind.

Jeez a real array of options to bring in for gaz.

With liba there is always a risk if griffin is injured but has a very high, consistent ceiling.

JPK would've been the obvious one but now not sure after a 70.

Then murph and Stevie j are both very good value but are up and down.

I reckon Gaz has to go if it's a minimum of 3 weeks, especially for those playing for overalls.
Even if he comes back after 3, will he be able to play up to his best standard?
A lot of questions left to be answered, definitely the turning point this season!

For those that watched the West Coast game yesterday, where was McGovern playing?
Was it up forward or back in defense? Curious to know as to why he scored so badly.
Thanks!

Played mainly down back covering for Mitch Brown, and was swung into attack for very small periods.

Not sure where he plays this week tho as Kennedy likely to get a week/weeks and McGovern could be he main man replacing him at full forward or we could choose to bring Nic Nat back (Likely) and keep Lycett up forward meaning McGovern would stay down back.

Was he subbed due to injury or tactical?
It simply just wasn't a day for key forwards in wet weather. From what I've seen the past few weeks McGovern's main strength is the overhead mark and with the ball like a bar of soap he struggled to make any sort of impact.

Call me crazy but so far
McGovern -> Thurlow (sets up emergency loopholes and ruck/forward cover with Stefan Martin)
Gaz -> Luke Parker and play Parker in the mids for a week.

Leaves me $370K and 6 trades for next week.

Next week upgrade Wingard or Lewis Taylor to any elite mid and swing Parker back forward

So this is my plan Re:Gazza

3 weeks or less

Swing Bartel into MIDs via Hunt and loophole H Taylor/B Martin/Birchall (2 that play earliest)

More than 3 weeks

Cry a little, then trade Gaz>Rockliff

Only 3 trades left... no idea what to do. Was planning on bringing Parker or Harvey in... but after Parker decided to smash the eagles... I'm 3k off getting him in now for Pavlich.

Will have to hold onto gaz if he is out for 4 or less... otherwise...

Brace for a loss and ranking drop play Shenton instead of Gaz and pick up Kennedy in 2 weeks... leaves me with (hopefully) about 170-180k with 2 trades left
or...
Gaz to Parker... gives me a solid switch to midfield choice. and 210k with 2 trades left... hopefully give me the chance to get in Harvey for S.Martin/Pavlich in about 2 weeks time... and upgrade S.Johnson or Barlow to an extreme elite like Rockliff if he drops... or Hibberd/Simpson/Hodge to a Hanley maybe towards the end of the season...

What do you guys think is a better option???

For my team... picking up rockliff at full price to replace Gaz just doesn't seem like a smart move.

So depressing... but I guess everyone has to think about this and it's really not just me.

You might get caught with unspent cash as with 2 trades you would be better leaving them for injuries rather than a late big upgrade. I'd take Rocky in your situation. This is what our last few trades are for ideally.
