There's elite and there's Gaz
He's our perma captain so my instinct is you replace like for like as best you can if nothing else but for the VC play. I think that's Rocky unless you have a gaping hole in your side elsewhere. In your case is Pavlich really a gaping hole you must upgrade at this late stage?

While waiting for the prognosis on Gazza, I am contemplating my options based on 4 trades remaining and $180k cash
1. Most obvious option I think is to trade Gazza to next best mid (probably JPK in my case). This is my likely action if he is out for any more than 2-3 games. problem with this is I may not be able to get Gazz back into my team.
2. If it seems likely that Gazz will only be out for a few (ie 2-4) then I am thinking I may keep him and upgrade Shenton to someone like O'Meara (using most of my remaining cash). By choosing O'Meara I am hoping that he will benefit (?) from Gazza's absence and score reasonably well as cover in his absence. Hopefully this will save me a trade and allows Gaz to come back into my team if he recovers in time.
Any comment re the above would be welcome. In particular, is it likely that O'Meara could improve his scores in Gazza's absence?
