Round 17: Trades

Could get JPK & Libba for Gaz & Joel Tippett (would have 3 trades + 9k left). Means I'd have 'good' cover in defence that 'should' avoid donuts with Bartel, McVeigh, Hanley, Simpson, Suckling, Kolodnashij, Adcock & Grimes. Only problem is I'd lose my fd and last season the bench cover didn't help me at all.

I would trade Ablett yeah JPK a good choice that leaves you 2 trades , imo i would keep them in case of injuries etc , just food for thought , but u should do Gaz trade this week just to keep the points up , good luck , Hibberd should be back as backline looks ok , mids with ablett replacement ok , rucks (Sandi won't be rested has the split round according to Lyon ) forwards ok , be carefull

The whole Fyfe vs everyone else...I think best to be safe.
Hopefully at the end of the day each mid scores roughly at their average across the 7 games...if that's the case and Fyfe scores at 120 and the others at 115, are the additional 35 points worth the donut/omission risk?
1 donut from omission/suspension/injury will lose 115 points. If you have a rookie emergency then you are likely to lose 50-60 points. Just one thing needs to slip up across these 7 rounds and the Fyfe gamble isn't worth it. (nb. this is assuming guys like JPK and Dal Santo are "certain" 7 game players).
Also factor in that Fyfe costs top dollar and the other 115s are cheaper as well...the additional $ could come in handy if other trades need to be made. Also, can Fyfe continue to score heavily if Sandi isn't around to palm the ball down to Freo?

I think Malceski is priced a bit too high ATM. Although May would be leaking points. There are other cheaper options such as Simpson or Mitchell who could potentially score the same from here onwards.
S.Johnson trade looks good looking at his averages against Melbourne but him playing all games from here on could be a worry. Pendles is a must as he takes Gazza's C or VC duties (the next best thing).

Like the JPK trade although he is looking at another price drop this week if your concerned about money.
Martins score haven't been great thus far but we should expect him to play every game from here onwards.
Honeychurch on the bubble this week could be taken into consideration if you haven't already.

With 4 trades left, is it worth ditching Hibberd for Hodge or should I just take the 0 this week and ride it out?
Already lost 90 points last week by getting Zac Jones and keeping Hibberd, don't really want to drop another 100 points, especially when I'm pushing for a top 200 position.
My bench coverage is shocking so I was going to use 2 of my final trades to bring a Roughead/Zorko/Wingard type to the bench, and the other 2 for injures/late outs that will no doubt come in the last month.

Yeah, 4 trades after Gaz. Would've been 5 if I didn't throw a trade down the toilet last week by bringing in Zac Jones for an awesome return of 5 points.
Was thinking Mitchell. Yeah his B/E is massive but I don't really care about that, he's the best defender when fit. Hopefully he built up a bit of match fitness last week and will be prime to go bang in a few weeks.
Doing this pretty much rules out bringing in a premo for bench cover... which means carrying Riewoldt on the field all the way to Round 23. My last 3 trades would have to be injury trades only, with about 160k to use to find replacements.
