Went to the Uncut Footy Show at the Port Adelaide Footy Club last night and won two tickets to the sold out Live Footy Show tonight in Adelaide in a raffle.

I just saw a tweet saying that Round 1 next year would start on Thurs 2 April (Easter Weekend) and be played over ONE weekend.

A later start to the fantasy season, but keeping the round to one week rather than two sounds like a positive thing to me.

1 weekend for the opening round will make it easier to pick rookies, but I hope they keep the 3 weekend bye rounds because Jay's planner helped me pick up 8000 spots over those rounds this year.

Here's a fun fact I found....

FACT
If St Kilda first-year player Jack Billings doesn't concede a free kick in the final four games he'll set a quirky record.
According to Champion Data no player has ever completed a season since 1999 with more than 13 games next to their name without conceding a free kick.
Amazingly Billings has not conceded a free kick in his first 15 games.
He wears No.15, been paid 15 free kicks, averages 15 disposals (well, 14.7 if you want to use a decimal point) and kicked 15 behinds in his first 15 games.
But he has not given away a free kick.
So if he manages to get through the final four games of 2014 with a clean sheet he will hold a one-season record that, to be honest, never really existed until Billings' remarkable run reached this point.

Whats up with these pop up showing "Achievements earnt" on the HS website?? Who cares!! I couldn't care less unless I'm winning the 50k, the round or the car!! THough, my end of year ranking is important to me for this site.... but really that will always suffer in some way when you do everything you can to try to win one of the above..

I went to high school with C-Money the current overall leader of SC, who looks certain to take out the prize. In high school he was very good with computers in particular "hacking". He once hacked the system at school and sent an email out to all parents about one of the teachers being arrested for feeling up a student (which he'd made up of course).
It has come to my attention that he is also first overall in Dream Team.
How safe is the SC and DT site? Is it possible that he could be up to his old tricks again and somehow cheating the system?
What are the chances of someone winning both?

Funny thing is the year Jay won it, there was a bit of trolling in a similar vein, trying to get him disqualified. Wouldn't surprise me if the guy that posted that is somehow related to 2nd or 3rd.

I wasn't into SC yet the year Jay won but I do agree with you in regards to the original poster.
Sounds to me like a bit of a sour grape

Two completely different games. NO WAY you could get that lucky to win both!

They are different but not that different. DT has been much easier to create a team. If he could do it in SC then it would have been easier for DT. Jay when he won SC also had a high DT score and when Chewy won from memory he also won SB.

Generally people will stick to similar sides in all comps. So if you find a winning formula in one the other will be there and abouts.

Interesting to hear and read that Jarrad Waite is now a gun. Never kicked 40 goals in a season, constantly misses nearly half the season through injuries and suspension but because he has a few good games when the side is out of finals contention he is a star. I'm sure these media 'experts' were praising Collingwood for their shrewd recruiting of Jesse White after he started the season well even though over his career White clearly had the C grader tag stamped on him.
