Time to go through this Maroondah team like hot knife through butter.
Pirates fired up and want Muscle blood all over the field by the end of the clash.

Bring your best to the table Maroondah. We want to beat you at full strength whilst we get by with a few out.

Good luck to the Tigers and Swans. I wish you well to beating each other up down in the 1st semi-final.

Let the chips fall where they may.

Go the Pirates!!!!

Looks like we off to a reasonable start in this final and finally also some luck run my way in a fantasy footy game this year.
Opposing captain Josh Kennedy subbed out in second quarter.

Maroondah Muscle Lineup

Foll: McEvoy, JP Kennedy (C), Sloane (VC)
Int: Vince, Miles, TJ Lynch
Sub: Gunston

Given I was expecting 120 times 2 from him against me, that is quite a break going my way in a big final. Tough luck for Fresh but that also means Gunston his sub likely going to get 100% of his score so if Gunston goes big the damage can be minimal but now Gunston has to go big or I like my chances. Just need to hold off injuries myself. With my captain already played and 117 times 2 counted I just need to keep it going for rest of weekend to get our first finals win and move onto a Grand Final in two weeks time. Not over yet, but it gives me a lot of hope I can win this big final. I probably need it with Stevie J no certainty to return next week and who knows, Fyfe could still be a late out tomorrow.

Finally some luck actually ran my way. Almost in shock...lol

Buddy big score for Johno.
Parker a ton as captain for Hairy.

JPK looks like making 40 for Fresh so probably 2 times 40ish rather than 2 times 25...lol.. That extra 30 could help.

Broadbent doing well for Fresh. Polec , D Swallow and Matera not so for me. :(
Malceski probably around a ton for Fresh too. I need my team to do more.

Polec subbed for me and Lynch about a ton for Fresh. Also Gray huge for Fresh. Things going Maroondah way more recently.

With Hibberd back and starting well for Hairy the Swans certainly in this final v Tigers. Boak and Westhoff tons too I suspect. Also Winderlich starting well for Hairy.

Tigers 17/1664 with captain Sidebum played and a bench score in that 5 players to come.
Swans 17/1465 with captain Parker played. Elliott was late withdrawal replaced by Mayes with 60.

Both teams have had no real sub or vest players so far so virtual sub 1/3rd score rule in place at this moment.

Swans probably need Libba to pull out a big one to get back any hope for this knockout semi-final

Franklin and Adcock the chief destroyers so far for Tigers.
Deledio trying hard for Swans but needs more from others to have a last quarter chance.

In the Second Semi-Final

Maroondah 14/1267 with captain played and super sub Gunston to be included too
Pirates 13/1215 with captain played and super sub Cross to be included too.

Both our teams had a player subbed out with less than 50 so Gunston and Cross look likely to be full scorers. We both have 3 players so far listed on bench with only counting 66% of their score each.
For Maroondah, Robbie Gray and Miles the best so far.
For Pirates it is Rockliff, Cotchin and Carrazzo my best and Murphy captain score is best of any FDL team so far so won't sneeze at that.

Fyfe tomorrow probably holds the key to this game. If he plays and goes big I should probably overtake Maroondah in last quarter and hopefully get the rest next weekend by advancing straight to the Grand Final.

If that happens I will be super happy because I want to avoid playing next week with Stevie J a real concern and another week of resting should help him be right for an FDL Grand Final. Also the JPK hammy concern could really help me get Tom Mitchell back in time too as really need to avoid having to play Varcoe up forward.

Only JPK of the wider football fantasy carnage hit any of our teams today but I suspect he could even be back next week if Swans were just being overly cautious to sub him early against Saints.

JPK succumbs to the Muscle injury curse. Think you got this one Oz, 40 from my captain doesn't help at all

Given some of my bad luck in past, (example, Murphy and Montagna late out v Bong Bong in keeper league and lose narrowly and miss finals by less than 1 per cent to them) I think I just hold tight and hope I can get through today with my players hopefully all playing and performing to normal standards. I will only relax and feel safe if Fyfe actually plays and scores 120+. Short of that with both of us having 8 players or more to take field, plenty can still happen to add some twists and turns.
Go you Pirates!!!!

I think i can hold on this week for the win.
Yep, you look well set up for a win and move on to the Prelim final next week. Hopefully not against me...lol.. I doubt Stevie J is back next week so hoping I can skip over a Prelim Final weekend. Geez, I hanging out bad to get Tom Mitchell back for Grand Final. Varcoe up forward kills me having to play in the 22. Thankfully so far been able to carry this far and not come undone.

Highest score for the week, now onto the Muscle again. Martin vs Malceski to make the grand final.
