Nah Mackay barely got a game last year. He's clearly out of favour with Stars and Vic selectors. I'd be surprised if he played more than the 3 or 4 games he played last year.

For the record, my initial squad is

Hales
Dunk
Burns
Hussey
Reardon
Kallis (c)
Cutting
Berhrendorff
Cummins
Richardson
Beer

Maddinson
M Marsh
Hartley
Bollinger

I thought McKay played the first 4 games last year before being called up to the Australian side. It was only 4 games but I thought he played every game he was available for.

Obviously 12 months on if he is now out of favour last year means nothing.

McKay is out of favour with the vic selectors yes, but I still feel he has a spot in the stars bowling line up, just!

I was at windy hill on sunday for the essendon v greenvale game and he looked medium pace at best

Well he plays two games in round 1 so maybe he's still worth the punt at that price. Might jag 4 wickets across 2 games, who knows.

Does anyone know if there's a website on the internet that shows past BBL fantasy scores and averages of players in previous BBLs?

I do know there is also a few sites that to team previews in the weeks leading up to the tournament that are also handy.

Just had a quick look over some of there batsman ratings and prices for the first time, think theres a few blokes that should provide some value.

Surely Nic Maddison can't have as rough a run as he did in the BBL last year, looks good value.
Callum Ferguson as well from the Strikers could be a goo option, started the year in fantastic touch, and if he gets a crack up higher up the order for them could be a nice pickup.
Joe Burns also one who has started well again this year, provides some pretty good value and will bat quite high up in the order for the Heat.

Cheers for that mate, haven't seen this site before! Looks good and will keep me busy for the next few days as I start to plan my team (will have some spare time coz getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow) :(
Neither had I until a couple of days ago! It's certainly kept me busy since finding it, really good reading. Just waiting for the rest of the team previews to be released, the strongest lineup for each team is really handy.

Good luck with the dentist by the way!

Shaun Marsh added to the test squad as a reserve batsman, most likely to cover Clarke if he doesn't come up.

Could play test cricket with his brother Mitchell.

Yes but only when Morgan is called up for the ODI series. So you can start with Hartley nicely.

Combines with Whiteman, Nevill and the Heat's guys I don't think you need to go big.

Yeah Hartley and Whiteman look a good stating duo although Wade at $66k looks solid also.
