After all my hard and long supercoach pre seasons I have come to realise that there are hidden gems in most AFL list.
This years draft & trade period has & will give us our fair share of cash cow's.
But in this thread I want to concentrate on the players who already have hair on their nuggets:cool:
Players like freeman & Scharenberg, Hogan & Salem, Saad & Clark.
Enjoy..

Here's a list of mature age rookies (should all be under 130k) with a decent chance of playing round 1:

DEF:
Krakouer (PA) - Back in the AFL, unlikely to play at Port, but they have a spot for a running defender in their lineup.
Goodes (WB) - He's back as a rookie! Unlikely he will play at his age though, and might not actually be under 150k.
Scharenberg (COL) - Won't play till second half of season, but should score well as a downgrade target.
McIntosh (RIC) - Running half-back flanker who could slot into the Tigers lineup and be the McDonough of 2015.
Ellis-Yolmen (ADE) - Could find his way into the Crows side this season after 1 sub game last year.
Fuller (WB) - Was gonna be the Goodes of 2014, maybe this season?

MID:
Vandenberg (MEL) - Mature age mid at Melbourne sounds promising, could play early ahead of the top draftees.
Lambert (RIC) - Being hyped up as the Miles of 2015.
Holman (CAR) - One sub game last season, he and Cripps may get more game time this year in a development period for the Blues.
Freeman (COL) - Looks a big chance to play round 1, should score well. Sub?
Dumont (NM) - Could end up in jail, but if he gets through the court case he could play after dominating in the VFL last season.
Boekhorst (CAR) - The blues love him, surely a big chance for round 1.

RUC:
Griffin (FRE) - Might be cheap enough to be worth getting at R3. Won't play unless Sandi is injured though.

FOR:
Karnezis (COL) - Will the spud ever show his talent?
Blease (GEE) - See above, maybe at a new club, but massive sub chance.
Saad (STK) - Probably fighting with Lonie for a spot in the forward pocket.
Mcbean (RIC) - Big goalkicker in the VFL, and Vickery and Griffiths haven't exactly looked like superstars.
Markworth (STK) - Could take time to recover from his injuries, but certainly a target at some point this season.
Kommer (ESS) - What happened to him? Maybe been replaced by Merrett?
Hogan (MEL) - Lock him in! Only question is whether he needs a few games in the VFL.
Clark (GEE) - See above.

Been injured all of last year and hasn't returned to full training yet. Expected to return to training straight after New Years.

Griffin will be a lock at R4 for me. Doesn't matter if he's nowhere near the team, Sandi and Clarke are injury prone.

Cross off Goodes, Griffin and probably Kommer and Blease as they are all too expensive to get.

Holman is also a defender while Ellis-Yolmen is a mid. Lambert and Krakouer are M/F.
