Had put this Thread up last year with great response.
This year again I think it is up there with the most ask questions.

Sorry about that.
Got distracted, busy with kids, thought I could do it quickly.
Just questioning people's ideas on which way they are leaning towards..
For example:
Would you lean towards Goddard (cheap DPP Rookie) or Bellchambers (cheap DPP mid pricer).
Hope that helps ;)

In theory the MID Pricer is a great selection, can make you some cash while still filling a spot on the field and scoring you more points than the rookie.

In practice I have found the rookie scores around the same as the mid pricer, makes more money and costs you less initially. It is all about finding those gems, but you can't get carried away as it is eating up those precious cash cow spots and you only have so many.

In the case of those two particular players though there are lots of things to consider;

Bellchambers
- Does he play better or worse with Ryder?
- Will he finally get a decent preseason and play a reasonable number of games
- Do you need cover in the ruck if you are taking the Burger, Cruiser or Nicklenats who all are also quite injury prone?
- Will Giles play more ruck time and TBC more fwd time?
- Is his missus hot enough to justify a spot in your team?

Goddard
- Still a wait and see based on NAB cup form
- Does a FWD / DEF link do anything for you at any point in the season (do you plan on having players to link with and what is the reasoning for the link?)
- He isn't his cousin

I have both fairly high on watch lists at this stage and could well start with both in my team 2015 :)

If I pick someone at $400k it's because I think they will end up as a premium, anything under and they're a midpricer you expect to move out of your side eventually.

They split up in November.

Devastating news for some.
Awesome news for single males out there...
Gets plenty of her own ball with great hands.
Good in and under they say.

Now we have to see what Giles is going to do. I see both Giles and TBC more a R/F then a permanent ruck like a Goldy or Sandi. My belief with Giles just coming to the club that Bombers will give first gig as the main rucking duty to TBC with Giles doing duties in forward line. However bombers will still have Danniher in forward line and no idea with Carlisle positioning.

Dan Rich $348,300 vs Vandenberg $127,900 ?
I'm not selecting Dan Rich, even at $348,300.
I'd go Vandenburg in your example.
I'm going with Guns'n'Rookies midfield, keeping the value picks for Def and Fwd (and Ruck possibly).

I'm pretty sure Vandenberg is on Melbournes Rookie list, so will need to be elevated to the Primary list before he can play. Will need to keep an eye on him during Pre-season and NAB cup to see if he is a chance.
