Sure is Kohli!

4 matches in and every team batting first has reached 300! You would have to say all the T20 they play has had an effect on the scoring rates in the one dayers.
Think it is more than just one factor. The newer style bats help a lot and virtually every ground now to get a boundary is not as far or as hard due to ropes in quite a distance. I did enjoy Solomon Mire's 103 metre six off Steyn though.

Poor Darren Bravo, run out for a diamond duck (run out without facing a ball).

Lendl Simmons tons up from number 6, making 102 from 84 balls.

WI finish on 7/304 after 50 overs against Ireland.

oh, Watched the Solomon Mire big six again on video. It was actually off Morkel, not Steyn as originally wrote. I was just watching a video screen for about 2 or 3 minutes when it actually happened so was in a hurry when saw it live and thought it was an over Steyn was bowling.

oh my god, Sadly, i fear the West Indies hitting a new low and going to lose to Ireland. After 25 overs Ireland 1 for 162 chasing 305.
Sad day in cricket. The Ashes of West Indian cricket about to be cremated.

Cannot believe how poorly West Indies cricket has fallen to.
This is the same cricket power than was top of world cricket from late 70's all the way to 1995 when Australia finally were first side to beat them in a Test series for a decade and a half. They were a team created by wonderful Clive Lloyd as captain. Hard hitting opener Gordon Greenidge. Master blaster number 3 bat Viv Richards and four really fast bowlers of Michael Holding, Andy Roberts, Joel Garner and Malcolm Marshall that were not only hard to survive against but also score against. Now they are a region that can not even beat a minnow nation in World Cup. Ireland taking them to the cleaners and smashing all their bowlers around. The morale of their side and region must be so low it is hard to get my head around. I feel sorry for their few players really trying but something is terribly wrong. You cannot play this bad unless there is some really bad vibes going on amongst them.
Worse still I cannot see a solution as I cannot see one area of West Indies cricket where there is any harmony. The players and board at loggerheads and probably regional politics not helping. Ireland only need 20 more runs with more than 8 over remaining.. :(
Sometimes it is fun to see a minnow nation knock of a fully fledged cricketing nation but this feels very different and not good feeling at all at this upset. Good luck to Ireland but for me the story is how low West Indies cricket is at.

Scotland currently 4 for 40 verses NZ but were 4 for 12 at one stage. Dissappointing for those who paid for tickets, would have been very annoying if you were half an hour late getting to the game....

Could have been worse.
Bowled out for 60 and NZ knock it off in 6 overs was not totally out there as possibility.
If you pay for a game like that you got to half expect it could be over quick if minnow nation bats first and gets bowled out real cheap.
Buyer beware...

Unimpressive stuff by NZ. To lose 7 wickets chasing 143 v Scotland is really poor.

The scheduling is excruciating. The NZ v Scotland game ended exactly at the time as a day/night game would have started in Australia. Is there any other tournament in the world that has a host nation not host a group game for two days? Certainly providing sufficient rest for teams between games is not the reason. I doubt the BCCI would care if two games were played each day either.

I'm sure you're correct to a large extent but the broadcasters are pretty idiotic if they say Afghanistan v Bangladesh and UAE v Zimbabwe must be played on different days as stand alone fixtures.

Should have one day game in NZ and one day/night game in Australia. There would barely be any overlap and in the case of today's game the next game would start when the previous one finished.

true mate but they can extend it out another few days then they will make more money in adverts during the cup which id guess would be 20% more expensive than during regular time slots/shows so is basically really so they can line there own pockets a p**s off us who wish to watch it.

One has to remember that this is an ICC event that just happens to be played on Aussie and Kiwi soil. Australia has very little say in many things.

Star Sports India has the broadcast rights and simply onsell their vision.

The worse part is all of the cameramen are from overseas. The usual local crew have not got a look in - apparently the foreigners are costing about half the amount that using the locals would. There are only a few Aussies in the production crew, essentially just for tasks that require local knowledge.

What I find weird about whole schedule the most, is that in such a drawn out preliminary phase if a game is washed out they do not play it the next day.

Southee 7 for 33 and England all out 123.
Joe Root last man out for 46.

It opens up confidence for Bangladesh that England can be beaten by them and possibly make quarter finals I would think.

Third fastest 50 in World Cup history.
Not sure what the record is for fastest 100 but he is now 72 off 21 balls and they only need 28 runs. He will have to get virtually all of them to do it.

He needs to hit 4 sixes to get fastest hundred ever I suspect. They need 18 to be level. Then he has to hit a six to get to hundred.
