Tagged percent stats. I remember seeing the players who were tagged the most in 2014 from each club posted here somewhere. Does anyone have the table or stats? Thanks.

They're listed in the Prospectus but are fairly meaningless imo. They defined a tag as being a matchup of 70+ minutes so the data includes normal head to head battles, which have little relevance compared to a player being genuinely tagged.

Hi all. I have a tricky SC DRAFT question and I'm not sure anybody will know the answer.

In my draft league we have an even spread of prizes focused on both overall and league. I have been told by one of the guys in my league that apparently if you do not make finals or if you are knocked out of finals then you are unable to make any further trades. This will obviously impact the teams that are not in finals but still going for the highest overall score. Can anybody confirm or deny this?

Thanks in advance.

This is true, but I will think you will find that there is no overall rankings in draft leagues as not everyone is able to select the same players. It is simply a league to league competition

By overall I mean total overall points scored in our league only.

That's what has happened in our Draft League the past 2 seasons. I think it stops people colluding once one of them is out of the comp. ie player A has Ablett, but is knocked out of the competition in the first week of the finals, he colludes with player B to trade Ablett to him for Xavier Ellis, or if the trade needs varification, he just puts Ablett back into the pool, knowing player B has first right that week, or something like that.

I think we will just roll with overall points until the end of the home and away season for our Draft which is until the end of round 18. Should solve any collusion issues.

The last couple of years the lockout has been a bit delayed, with eliminated teams still able to trade for a few days or even a week.

Would someone mind telling me where I can find last year's player rankings by position? Ideally sorted by average. Footywire has updated their rankings to include positional changes for this year and I don't have a copy of the Prospectus.

The loophole gives you two cracks at doubling your captains score. The idea is that you select a VC who plays in an earlier game, see what score they get and then decide whether to keep it to be doubled or take a punt with another captain. It works because of the rolling lockout which means you can manipulate your captain choice after the VC has played.

Start off by selecting a VC and in the meantime have the C on someone playing later. Then see what score your VC gets.

If your VC get a crap score that you don't want to keep simply put your Captain to someone else you prefer.

If your VC gets a score you would like to double, then you need to select someone not playing from a later game as your Captain (which includes having them on the field). Hence since that player does not play it is the VC scores that is doubled. The other key here is that you must have a player in the same position as the dummy captain on your bench with the emergency on them so that you get that score (instead of a zero).

An example for round 1, put the VC on Gary Ablett which is the second game of the round, and have the captaincy on Pendlebury. If Ablett gets a dud score simply leave the C on Pendles and you get a second crack.
If Ablett get a great score, move the Captaincy to Mason Cox who is not playing, hence you need to put Cox in as R2, and have say Goldstein as R3 with the emergency on him. Hence since Cox won't play you get Goldstein score still and Ablett's score is doubled.

The key is timing, in the above example one would have about an hour to make changes to the captaincy as Collingwood play about an hour or so after Gold Coast's game ends.

Ben Cousins apprehended inside secure perimeter of Perth's SAS barracks

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-03-16/ben-cousins-apprehended-inside-sas-barracks-in-perth/6321826

Former AFL star Ben Cousins has been apprehended inside the secure facility of Perth's Special Air Service Regiment.

The 36-year-old was found inside the SAS Campbell Barracks in Swanbourne on Saturday night, but it is not known why he was there.

Cousins was taken to hospital, where it was believed he would be assessed at a mental health ward.

Police were still investigating whether to charge Cousins with an offence.

The former West Coast Eagles captain is due to appear in court on April 8 on reckless driving charges stemming from a police pursuit in Perth last week.

Police allege the former midfielder was driving erratically in the southern Perth suburb of Bicton about 10:30pm on Wednesday when he failed to stop for officers.

He was arrested after a short chase that ended at the intersection of Gill and Solomon streets in the nearby suburb of Mosman Park.

Cousins was charged with reckless driving, failing to provide a breath test and failing to stop.

Cousins has had a long and public battle with drug addiction and abuse.

During his 11 years with West Coast, he won several of the league's highest individual awards, including a Brownlow Medal.

Cousins had his contract terminated by the Eagles in October 2007 and a month later was banned from the AFL one year for bringing the game into disrepute.

He was cleared to return to football in 2009 and was drafted by Richmond Football Club, before ending his career at the end of 2010.

Is anyone having trouble with SC Gold? It doesn't seem to be currently granting me access to the detailed stats.

Unfortunately it seems he doesn't want the help. So many people have tried to reach out and help him but he keeps messing up.

I thought that he might get it together a few years ago when he had his son but that doesn't seem to of had an impact.

It's so sad as a West Coast fan, he is one of my favorite players ever to pull on our jumper... Such an amazing player on the field.

Hopefully he can get it together sooner than later.

Yeah for sure. He was one of my non-Essendon faves as well. Never seen a bloke run and run and run like him ever. Just a freak of an athlete.

So sad to think that with the support of so many, he still can't get clean :(

I saw the news on him before weekend but did not know about the new incident on weekend at some barracks.
Bloody sad. Just totally off the rails.
Clearly he is very addicted. People can try to help him all they like but he has to help himself too and unfortunately he is failing himself big time. I'm sure if he ever gets it that he needs to stop touching the substances he has been into and seeks the help he could get himself clean of it after a long time but ultimately he has to have that commitment to his own self. Seems like he is not even in a mental state to think rationally from the few incidents been reading about. He has a long long way to go. Will he ever live a normal life again? Sadly, looking unlikely.
