Bellchambers is really tempting me for R2. Can anyone give me some insight on him as a player and what sidelined him previously. Is he fully fit and firing now?
He's really tempting me too and as far as I know he's fully fit.

Apparently so, a bit of a risk I guess, but I've put him in the forwards and am now having 2 rookies on field in the back.

Follow your gut.

Yesterday I swapped Simpson to Hibberd and De Goey to Cripps.
We will see in a few weeks if it was the correct call.

Also Franklin to Martin after he was knocked out, but I'm still confident Martin will be very solid this year.

Ahh the good ol' next day regrets...

Thanks for the info re Bellchambers. For me it's either have him at R2 and then only 2 forward rookies on field vs a set & forget ruck with 3 rookies on field.

Oh boy feeling a bit gutted so have come to the box to unburden myself :)

On the way to match got my son to check on his fancy dancey mobile that Lambert wasn't slotted in to the side. Nah all good then. Watching match having fun and thinking yep glad I put young Hunt into my SC side, been sitting there for a while now.

Get home pull up my side and instead of Hunt and joy, I have Gary bloomin Rohan staring me in the face (insert crying smiley). I cannot believe how this happened. I reckon the Chinese have hacked my computer.

I had quickly tinkered with Maric (but chose to leave him out) and my side just before leaving home and must have done it then  :(...

Gary R. my boy time to step up big time; I almost feel I can't take the little bugger out of my side now as this could be divine intervention and events are no longer under my control.

mmm, for some reason confessing my sin hasn't really helped, and this is just the beginning, haha oh well bring it on. Cheers.
Is there another option than Rohan. You can still change that pick before tomorrow afternoon's game.

Running with a floating donut as well but was running one regardless of what McIntosh scored. He won't float for the time being cos i've gone light down back and heavy in the mids but expect to utilise DPP when trading.

409/5 for me
Maric, Cripps, Martin, McIntosh, Simpson

One of my few PODs in Maric underwhelmed so hoping there's not too much damage done by NicNat/Berger.

If I accidentally selected Brynes who is a Def/Fwd, is it worth grabbing Goddard in the forward line who will get games eventually this year to complete the link?

I think it would be a bigger mistake to load up on a 2nd non playing rookie. You need rookies to make cash.

Regarding the floating donut I think it's important to remember that there is an extra mid this season so there is a far reduced risk of getting a donut. Hence if you pick one it's effectively like having a non playing R4 last season, which was very common. The only difference is you could potentially miss out on a quality mid cashcow. The only other issue is potentially reducing your score slightly in the bye rounds by probably having one less player. Since it's best 18 again this season though the risk isn't too big imo.

With my expectation that there will be a lack of quality cashcows this season I'm definitely risking it and picking Saad in the midfield and Daniel McKenzie in defence. Reckon McKenzie would be the most likely to play this season since he was a pick in the 20s and has lesser competition at the Saints than other clubs. I never planned for the floating donut but had Jack Steele in my side that didn't get selected so it's essentially a minor change structurally.

If you think Goddard is playing next week not the worst idea in the world. Usually works better to have a premium linked to rookie.

What about McStay or Higgiins fwd? FD plus floating cover? I feel your pain with Brynes but think he will play at some point. I guess a bit depends on whether 2 more important corrective trades come up next week.

Im running goldy and mummy. The temptation for me is downgrading Bennel(F4) to Bellchambers.
I can upgrade any of my mid rookies to hunt then and have the swing option with saad in defence. Seeing Belly is a lone ruckman its very tempting.
Or you could tell me not to tinker haha.

Ask the experts.

Is there anyway I can use Mc Intosh score as I had him as my emergency.

Thanks for your input, but I don't think ill change my forward structure and premiums just for 1 rookie. I think if no extra rookies appear (have Saad, Oxley, Macintosh), ill just use him to loophole the other 3 from round d 3 onwards, however due to carlton's frequent early games, I will only be able to loophole round 3,4,6,7,10 up until the byes

Reckon Simpson will be a top 6 defender. Dusty will surely play much better so not worried about him yet.

Happy with my no Deledio and no Cotchin picks. I would have picked Deledio but the 'managing his injuries throughout the season' talk from Hardwick was enough for me to avoid him and it looks a correct decision.

I had Vlastuin for quite a while pre-season but got put off by the Prospectus saying he only got 20+ disposals in 4/37 U18 games they covered.

Re: getting macintosh's score.

Definitely agree with your points that a trade is not worth 60 points. But I was doing it with the idea of finding a defensive rookie that may play down the track. Hence singled it down to Hamling v Goddard. Last year I took on Ashby for Langdon's score, who ended up playing and making a bit of cash around byes too so it wasn't really a FD.

I don't think it's the worst idea, my question of Hamling v Goddard was more based on who will get games in the future? I like Goddard because of the DPP, can upgrade a fwd to a defensive prem later, but will Goddard actually get games? (Surely he will right?)

Interesting that Kade Simpson only had 73% TOG last night. He usually has at least 80%.

Still cracked the 100, with lots of room for improvement when that TOG starts to increase as the weeks go on.

What are people's thoughts on Ahmed Saad for Stk? My FWD line structure is 3-0-5 which I am slightly concerned about. Putting Saad on the bench will give me more coverage but unsure whether he is in Stk best 22.
