Have never been less settled about my team at the start of a season. So many decisions still to make.

Re: getting macintosh's score.

Definitely agree with your points that a trade is not worth 60 points. But I was doing it with the idea of finding a defensive rookie that may play down the track. Hence singled it down to Hamling v Goddard. Last year I took on Ashby for Langdon's score, who ended up playing and making a bit of cash around byes too so it wasn't really a FD.

I don't think it's the worst idea, my question of Hamling v Goddard was more based on who will get games in the future? I like Goddard because of the DPP, can upgrade a fwd to a defensive prem later, but will Goddard actually get games? (Surely he will right?)
You do lose a potential downgrade target, if Goddard gets on the bubble in Round 7 or later. Downgrade targets might be hard to find, especially in Def this year. It seems like the risk outweighs the reward for 60 points lost on an unlucky bench decision. There will be plenty more of those in the first half of the season.

Just to clarify, do we know exactly when we find out the updated teams (i.e.: not just the extended benches)? I know it's different for the Monday game, but don't know when.

What are people's thoughts on Ahmed Saad for Stk? My FWD line structure is 3-0-5 which I am slightly concerned about. Putting Saad on the bench will give me more coverage but unsure whether he is in Stk best 22.
With all St Kilda's injuries I think he should get a good run. Was a regular before the drug test. Won't be a high scorer though - 70 would be about the best I am hoping for with him but think he will be closer to 50. Averaged 60 in 2012 and 47 in 2013.

Sinclair made the cut too so another cheapish mid option if he avoids the vest. At least we know that one of Lonie and Sinclair won't start in the green vest. Possibly both!

Curren misses out. Wasn't he the Saints main tagger last year? Might put the VC on Griffen!

I've got him mate. Think that they will struggle this year and will need all the experience they can get. He won't be spectacular but that's not what he's there for.

Nice to finally have settled on a line-up. Now just sit back and watch the carnage...I've already lost one to injury from Thursday's game! Que sera...

To start Miller or CEY on the field.

CEY will probably score more but has a chance of being started as sub, while Miller is named on the field. I only have 3 rookie mids starting: Cripps, Heeney and Miller/CEY with Anderson and Lambert on the bench.

I was thinking of starting CEY and if he is named sub, I will play Anderson and if he is named sub then I might trade him for Cockatoo who will hopefully not be the sub.
