Hey everyone I'm sure I'm not the only one in this position but surely if Vandenburg is named on field you would have to take him over Jed Anderson. I remember slip saying that Jed is being groomed to take over from an aging Hawks midfield. I am confident in a 60-70 average from Jed if not playing sub, but am very unsure with Vandenburg. Could be 40-90 for all I know. just because he is sub this week doesn't mean we won't be the next.

What would you do and why?

Grappling with exactly the same issue MCMA. I have been on Anderson for a while but am uncomfortable with him playing both on Monday (leaving few good back-up options in that game if he is named sub) and for an obviously strong side in Hawthorn.

I was trying last night to think of any good 2014 rookies that came from strong, established sides ... I don't think I came up with any except Langford (even Polec, as Port were middling in 2013). After digging a little further on Vandenberg, I see that his SC/TOG is actually higher than Anderson's in the NAB, and he is slightly lower priced. That, plus avoiding the green vest and playing for a much weaker side, is likely to see me pick him over Anderson.

Sheed out, vandenburg in.. Had sheed all pre season, last minute swap! Maybe Heeney or Anderson to go for sheed back in... Last minute panic!

Heeney has a higher scoring output but Miller is not named as sub. Although Heeney is named in the forward pocket so it will be unlikely that he is the sub.

I personally have gone with Heeney. Swans biased maybe? ;)

I'm think Anderson out for Newton or Sheed. Do you rate Sheed over Newton?

Cool, think I'll start Vandeberg on ground now with Toumpas sub.

Now to decide if to have Miller....
Vandeburg on ground, gonna keep Miller on bench with the E.
Decided that both Miller and Vanders on the field. Not risking it with Heeney, CEY or Sinclair (Nelson).
Round 1 I just want to try and lock in some decent rookie scores.

With CEY, I'll be absolutely shocked if Lyons isn't starting Adelaide sub.

CEY needs to start the game with Crouch and Thompson out, so Adelaide can have the flexibility to move Danger forward if needed. With his scoring potential and Miller named in the forward pocket, I'm willing to back in CEY.
